What a coincidence. I used to have a car just like that. But I ran into some "trouble" a few months ago and, uh, had to get rid of it.

I do seriously wonder how much money was sunk into that puppy. Not quite my style so much...anyway, would anyone feel good about taking it to the mall on the wkend and leaving it in the lot without an big, ugly armed guard sitting in the front seat?

$2000 didn't get it apparently, but I never received a confirmation on my bid. Hadn't even thought about it until now.
Ah well, Dad probably wouldn't have appreciated it as an Xmas present. He never has been the Cadillac kind.

This isn't the kind of car I'd drive to places and leave parked without someone in it. This is the kind of car you just joy ride in.

For sure. Take it to training camp and charge $10 a pop for photos sitting in it. I should have upped my bid. Dang recession.

If someone from the board buys it, they should take it to him to have it inspected...
I would pay upwards of 20 dollars to see a live stream of that encounter...

Hey, man, cowboyjoe is one of the nicest guys and I'd let him inspect my car any day because he catches a lot of detail. The other day I took my car to get the oil changed and the guy didn't put the cap on... I had to go buy a new cap. I don't think cowboyjoe would have let that slide unless he was in the middle of his mock draft. I think that would be the month I'd stay away from joe's place.

What the??? I looked all over that site last week and it was gone. Their deal must've fell through.
EDIT: The craiglist advert is still active, but where you go to make the bid at the SeattlePublicAuctionHouse.com no longer has it in the inventory.

My buddy and I, when we were younger and before he became famous, had an old Cadillac and we did the exact same thing. BIG horns on the front and we'd ride around playing confederate music as a joke. But the ladies thought it was a hoot. There is just something about being goofy for the sake of it that makes it fun. That car, however, was yellow and cost us a grand total of $500 bucks. It's probably still at their deer ranch... most likely. Fun times.

I didn't even realize it had suicide doors! :bang2: Ach du liebe, to let that thing get away!?!
The loss is tempered by the fact that there's no AC. Not a vent on the dashboards anywhere. That dog would NOT hunt in Texas especially with leather seats.
It sure would make for a nice restoration project if you could find an old body that wasn't in too bad of shape and drop a modern V8 inside that canyon of an engine compartment. Hmmmm.
