The Bud Light NFL experience commercials are hilarious. The Miller Light unmanly commercials are unfunny.

Miller Light was great with the Tastes Great/Less Filling commercials....but to try and compete and even attack the Light King of Beers is just weaksauce.

Miller reaks of desperation in their commercials....and are nowhere near as entertaining as the Budweiser brand commercials. Bud gets it, Miller wants it.

BTW, I dont drink alcoholic beverages....so this is my totally unbiased opinion....

on a similar note, Pepsi is still Coke's little female dog. I like both sodas equally, but you never see Coke attacking Pepsi....Pepsi consistently tries to bash Coke in their ads.....I guess they don't feel they can match em with their product alone.

agree with your thoughts on the miller/bud light debate..... not sure on the pepsi one but to me, neither is going anywhere and that is good because it keeps competition up and prices down

I used to drink Miller products all the time, never swayed away from them....until the attacking commercials Miller put out vs. Budweiser.

So, I tried Budweiser and liked it better. Have been drinking Budweiser since, but I must say I rarely drink anymore.

A couple of the Miller commercials have been good. Like the man thong, the guy screaming on the roller coaster. The new one with the guy trying to get his friend to go to the restroom with him, that was pretty good, too. The rest, not so much.

Pepsi all day!!

Why not just drink water?

Miller? Budweiser? So many good beers out there like Guinness, Sleeman's, Molson's, etc. and people are extolling two of the blandest brands? Geez, live a little...

Water, GOOD beer, and wine....with an occasional sports drink or iced tea.

Coke is crap....as is Bud light, Miller Lite. I do enjoy crappy beer commercial though. :D

Why not just drink water?

Last I checked, water was the main ingredient in all those drinks.

Dude, that was the joke. They're just water.

It's "flavored" water. Makes a man feel sophisticated.

Miller light, Bud light, Coke, and Pepsi all SUCK.

I'd rather drink Shiner, Red Stripe, A&W, and Dr. Pepper.

I'll go with the water comment as well. Though Coors Light is the King Of Water and the worst commercials ever.

They're so bad I seem to remember them much more than any Miller Lite or Bud Light commercial.

Red Stripe is Jamaican, and I don't think the Shiner Brewery is Texas owned anymore.

Still love Shiner Bock though. Red Stripe to me is just foreign Budweiser.

Shiner isn't Texas owned? How? It's in Shiner, TX. I'm confused.

A lot of businesses have out of state ownership. In this case I believe a larger brewery bought out the Shiner Brewery

I'm cool with that. My personal choice would have been something with a taste different than a commercial American beer though. Of course a Texan could stay close to his roots by choosing a Mexican Berr - those are all over Texas. I love Dos Equis Amber, and Bohemia, Carta Blanca and Negra Modelo are also good.

Not much a beer drinker but I like to buy local when I can. I think I remember something about Shiner being bought out.

Oh well. It's still one of my favorites along with: Belhaven Scottish Ale, Boddington's, Fuller's ESB, Stella Artois, Smithwicks, Sam Adams Boston Lager, Guiness, Strongbow, Red Hook IPA, Blue Moon, and Negro Modelo.

Some good beers in that group. A couple I haven't tried.

The Miller Brewing Company is owned by the South Africa Brewing Company. Shortly after the takeover, or sellout however one wants to look at it, many long time employees either quit on their own or were harrassed into leaving by the new ownership according to a former employee who is a friend of mine.

I have never cared much for their beer but I certainly would not buy it today. Maybe I'm a fool but I prefer to do business with companies where the profiits stay in America instead of going to places where Americans are hated. All those huge anti-American riots in South Africa just a few days before 9-11-2001 and all the wild cheering there after 9-11 have turned me off to South Africa permanently.

I think consumers need to be more aware of where the profits from their purchases go. Sometimes we wind up supporting people who see us as their enemy.

Nope, it's still true. The Spoetzl Brewery is still an independent brewery. It's owned by The Gambrinus Company which is a privately held corporation based in San Antonio, TX.

They also own a few other micro breweries like the makers of Pete's Wicked Ale, but they are still a Texas company.

Sweet! It didn't really matter, I'd still drink it no matter who owns it. Except that Smokhaus one. I don't like BBQ flavored beer. My favorite Shiner is Kosmos, but I've only found it in those Family Reunion 6-packs. Of course, classic Shiner Bock is dandy! We have a little brewery here in Ft. Worth called Rahr. It's pretty good. They do tours every Saturday from 1-3.
