Jerry Jones says the Cowboys will be judicious with Dez Bryant on punt returns. Isn't this the coach's decision?

You're wasting your time trying to reason with Joe on this one... of course Jerry's just repeating what has been decided in staff meetings, but to Joe this will always smack of Jerry running things...

No it doesnt, to me Jason Garrett is running things, and Jerry, Stephen and Jason all agree in meetings what will be done, with Jason getting most of what he wants. Its just that Jerry, with his cotton picking little heart, can't help himself when being interviewed by media and lets the cat out of the bag sometimes. Which doesnt bother Jason because he knows how to work with Jerry and Stephen and get what he wants. :starspin I did used to think that way when wade was running the team, but good ole Hos pointed some things out to me how Jerry was letting wade run the team last year.
What do you think now silverbear? :)

Will Dez be 100 % to start this week?

depends how how much an injury to his quad. More serious quad, more time to heal.

We spent a third rounder on DeMarco Murray, so let him return punts. He was quit good at it in college, can't see why he isn't the #2 PR (outside of missing most of training camp).

More likely you will see Harris on the majority of punt returns but I do think there will be situations where Dez will be back there.

The question with Murray would be his ability to field punts and protecting the ball afterwards as well.

I don't get why, he did it in college? And return skills usually translate well to the pros.

Murray returned KO at OU not punts. Harris on the other hand was a very good return man on KO and punts

As I said I would expect Harris to do the majority of the PR but I still think there will be times Dez will get back there.
