Those are the words of NFL Network and NFL.com analyst Michael Lombardi, not Vince, who probably wouldn't have appreciated Tony Romo's backward hat.
This Lombardi, a former front office executive for six different NFL teams, said Tony Romo's performance against San Francisco Sunday is exactly what the Cowboys have to get from their quarterback in order to win (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d822623e8/article/romo-proves-his-value-to-cowboys-more-thoughts-on-week-2?module=HP11_cp) each week.
A week after he was the league's biggest goat, people are suddenly realizing that Romo is pretty darn good. Writes Lombardi:
"Admittedly, Romo made critical mistakes that cost the Cowboys [I], but without him, Dallas is a team in transition. The truth is Romo has to play perfect or else the Cowboys won't win. For all the Cowboys fans who think they would be better off without Romo, face reality: He is the only reason Dallas has a chance to compete in the NFC East."
