I hear you. I hate the new format, but mainly I hate change. Each time they change something I usually don't like it, and just as I'm getting used to the new they change it yet again. Don't fix what isn't broke.

Don't fix what isn't broke.In the past, I've actually liked most of the Facebook changes. This one, I can't handle. I log in for 30 seconds, realize it hasn't changed back, realize I have no idea how to find my most recent news feed (or refuse to read that little window in the top right), and log back out.

IMO, something will trump facebook in the next couple of years. Stars rise and then they fall.

Lot of damn crickets out there. :muttley:
=============================================
Amid reports that people were losing interest in Google+, Google on Tuesday opened its new social network to the public and registered its peak day of traffic.
According to an Experian Hitwise rep, visits were up 1007 percent on Tuesday, versus the previous peak on July 12. Visits to the site increased by 1700 percent from Monday and Google+ secured a spot on the list of top 50 most visited sites in the U.S., surging up from the number 774 slot it occupied just a day before.
The Hitwise data does contain one caveat: it doesn't take into account mobile traffic or activity in the notification bar.
Even so, by nixing the invitation-only status on Google+, Google was able to drive some impressive traffic to the site and drum up new interest.
According to unofficial Google+ statistician Paul Allen, Google+ added around 10 million users in the first two days it was public.
"It is clear that Google+ is absolutely exploding - 30 percent growth in just 2 days and with a base of nearly 30 million members already," Allen said in a post on his G+ profile.
His last estimate on Sept. 9 put the number of Google+ members at 28.7 million. By Thursday, he speculated that the number had soared to 43.4 million.
"The growth rate has skyrocketed to rates we only saw during the first week of its 'field test' - back when it had a small number of users to begin with, the growth rates were of course much higher."

So you like the new newsfeed/twitter timeline thing?Timeline is different. It only affects your profile page. You have to sign up as an app developer to get an invitation to try out Timeline. It's fantastic.
The new newsfeed/twitter stuff is crap.
