I know he's been a major bust.... and I know he's been injury prone.
But would you be interested in bringing in Courtney Brown AS A LINEBACKER?
Most don't know this, but he was an amazing linebacker in highschool. And he went to Penn State as a linebacker before they moved him to DE.
Now, if he would lose 25 or so pounds, then maybe he'd be less prone to injuries. He's already stated that he'd be interested in playing LB for Romeo Crennel. Why not give him a chance to do so here?
What do you think?

Man I think with the right system like ours 3-4 Cortney Brown could be a impact he's big and has nice size... I like him....Better off getting him then going with a injury prone DE

Personally, I like "outside the box" type posts.
This one isn't out of the "realm of possibility" either.
If he played it before and has said that he is willing to play it again, maybe he realizes that DL is not his forte'.

i think the Skins are trying to sign him up as a LB atm. I wouldnt mind him at all at LB to compliment Dat and add depth to a thin LB corps. but of course it wouldnt be for much.

He's 290 pounds. His problem is not staying strong at the point of attack but rather chasing down QBs. He's actually pretty good against the run. Does this sound like he's a good fit for a LB in a 34?
Think 34 DE and then perhaps you have something.

And you were criticizing others for posting stupid threads?
You should be more concerned that he will even last a season let alone switch positions.

how so...because he played linebacker in high school? Are you seriously arguing this point? Do you realize many NFL players played completely different positions in high school? Should we start convert receivers to QB's because that's what they played in high school?

Oh, well in that case.....
This is stupid. If Rome's wants to convert him to a LB, then good for Rome's. Understand that he would be doing it in an effort to try and save the investment they have in this guy. A team like the Dallas Cowboys needs to be concerned with getting LBs who are actually LBs rather then square pegs for round holes. If he works out and becomes an all pro LB, then you can come back and call me a till the cows come home. If not, then this thing will likely do what it should have done the first couple of reads. Die a slow death and go away.

I got it. Troy Williamson was a QB in HS and led Silver Bluff to the SC AA Championship. We can put him at QB because Lord knows he can run faster than Drew Bledsoe. That way we don't have to worry about the right side of the OL either. Besides he would be just as good as QC because he played baseball in HS. Well anyway.
Then we draft Matt Jones from Ark and make him either a TE, H Back, WR, or hey, let's put him as a DE/LB. That way we won't need Courtney because Matt Jones can just play DE/LB as well as emergency QB, TE, backup RB and be water boy too.
No wait. Matt Jones as a safety. He would become the largest fastest safety ever. What a draw.
Then we can put Courtney in at fullback like the Fridge.
Now that's thinking outside the box.

Not so far outside the box.. I read somewhere(of course I cant find the link at the moment) that Romeo was also interested in signing Brown to play LB.. so it wasnt all that onsided of a thought..
That being said..... I dont want him to wear the STAR
