Tony Romo will be wearing some extra padding around his ribs if he plays against the Washington Redskins Monday night. The Cowboys franchise quarterback was fitted for a protective vest on Wednesday, according to Matt Mosley of Fox Sports Southwest (http://www.foxsportssouthwest.com/09/21/11/Romo-fitted-for-protective-vest/landing_cowboys.html?blockID=566516&feedID=3742).
Romo's Kevlar vest will be provided by a Pennsylvania-based company called Unequal Technologies, the same company that is endorsed by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick.
Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, who is dealing with bruised ribs, was also measured for a protective vest on Wednesday.
