Costa reinjured his knee against the 49ers. Kowalski ended up playing the final 19 plays.

Costa did not practice Thursday. He was uncertain Monday whether he would play agianst the Redskins....

Kowalski has been a pleasant surprise so far this season. If Costa and him can continue to progress through the next few years, we could have great depth at center.

and sit Costa because he's been part of the problem IMO...I know he's dinged, but get him healthy and THEN see if he's effective enough to get some push up the middle because so far...and ask Felix to back me up...he hasn't been at all.

exactly what i was thinking. We need a healthy costa because the injuried costa isn't getting to much push in the run game at all.

But maybe the coaches think that a more experienced costa is better against the blitzing skins than the rookie UDFA. Romo is already banged up.
