Reputation was the topic, and as he pondered the case of Tony Romo, one of the NFL's most scrutinized quarterbacks, Babe Laufenberg recalled the wisdom of college basketball's legendary Wizard of Westwood.
"I'm a firm believer in the John Wooden rationale," said Laufenberg, a former journeyman NFL quarterback who is an analyst on the Dallas Cowboys' radio team. "Reputation is what people think you are, but character is what you really are. This whole perception thing has taken on a life of its own.
