Cowboys reserve cornerback Frank Walker is playing in his ninth season in the NFL. In the first part of an interview with Walker, the Tuskegee, Alabama native talked about spending $800 on shoes that hurt his feet, his welcome to the NFL moment and why he would like to be hip hop star Lil Wayne for a day.
Here is Part 2 of the interview.
Most memorable wide receiver you ever defended?
"Bobby Shaw. He was working the (expletive) out of me. He was real good side-to-side. And that was my rookie year. And I never experienced it before like that. He's the most memorable to me."
What stands out about playing for Rob Ryan?
"You know what, man, playing with his brother, Rex, they're split images of each other. They're both fun, they're great guys and the way they interact with players it encourages players to rally around them and always want to make them look good. You get a lot of good play out of players."

God, hopefully we can get a second year out of him when we can reload a bit in the off-season.

Rob's going to be a tough act to follow (to the players, I mean).
Jerry will, of course, try to sell him on staying here a little while longer to get a ring.
"Nobody ever regretted getting a Super Bowl ring."

Shut your filthy mouth Frank !
I think he's got 2 rings with the Pats.

He already has 2 rings as a LB's coach with the Patriots (That's 2 more rings than Jason has btw).
I don't see how winning another ring as an assistant would be any more enticing to him than being a HC of his own team. That's what they ALL coach for.

Hey now, don't be ruining my fantasies with these little details.
You're right, that angle wouldn't work. If the D continues to play well there probably isn't anything Jerry could do to keep Rob here short of sneaking a pistol in his luggage at the airport, but that probably wouldn't be the best solution either.
Rob doesn't seem very materialistic so I don't think a wad of cash would do it either. The dude can already afford beer and pizza.

I'm not saying he couldn't do it, but the only thing I wonder about with him as a hc is his health and the ability to deal with everything that goes with that job over a long timeframe. I've known a lot of people who's health degraded significantly after accepting a more stressful position, particularly those that were "stressful eaters." Now considering his starting point...

The question is why was he not offered a HC job this year? Why? Because his Browns couldn't win a lot of games and ranked 15th I think in defense. If the Boys go deep in the playoffs and rank in the top 8 defensively Rob MAY get an offer. You need to be successful to get an offer, and so far he really hasn't got the resume. I think he stays another year, but I could be wrong. Remember how many proven coaches will be out there this offseason - a bunch. We'll get one more year from him - I just hope someone on the asst. staff is taking a lot of notes, who can take over where Rob leaves off....

unless Jerry paid him a king's ransom to stay.

Why would you pay Eberflus a king's ransom to stay? What has he proven to make any team want to do that?
Tap the brakes with this guy. He received a glowing report from a guy who talks hyperbole on a daily basis. Like Miles Austin is better than Calvin Johnson. It's just what he does.
I'd be optimistic about his potential but I wouldn't be OMG we need to keep him at all costs. He's a LB coach until proven otherwise.
