Eagles make another change at linebacker: Rolle for Matthews

PHILADELPHIA -- For the second time in as many games, Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid and defensive coordinator Juan Castillo have shaken up the Eagles' linebacking lineup, this time benching embattled rookie fourth-round pick Casey Matthews and replacing him at weakside outside linebacker with another rookie, 5-foot-10 Brian Rolle.

Rolle's work in the Eagles' nickel package the first three weeks of the season earned him the promotion over Matthews, younger brother of Packers Pro Bowl linebacker Clay Matthews.

What!? You're telling me being Clay's younger brother doesn't automatically make him good!? Really though, the other guy might just be better.

I think we all knew someone was going to over draft Casey Matthews, due to his last name. Didn't think it would be Philly though.

I want to say they are, yet everytime they are writen off, they rallly. Unless they get 8 losses, I wont think its over for them.

They always seem to land on their feet though. I'd love to see them sitting at the bottom of the NFC East but I doubt it happens.

Their soon to be 27 year old fireman first round pick, gets his first start at guard this week.

I wanted Casey, still would take him as a depth guy. He's not nearly the athlete his brother is, I don't know what they expected from him but in a 3-4, you can hide that a little bit better at the ILB position.
