Today is the deadline, I think...does anybody know the cut off time?
But there are VERY FEW threads right now about HOWARD!
Do you guys think we'll have him by the end of today?

to be able to get their franchise tag back before a certain date
Some Facts:
Howard is asking for a rediculous $16M sb, FOR A CAT NEVER SNIFFED PRO BOWL THATS CRAZY.
Any team that trades for his $35M demands must fit him into the Cap. Dallas then needs to forfeit a #2 and Dat? nope
Deal is dead....as it should be.

there was if he did not sign a long term deal by today with NO then the chances of them signing him to one before are very slim making it harder not imposible to trade him a team has to have 7.8 mil under the cap. They can still sign him to a long term contract tomorrow or anytime for thant matter but if they do now before 7/22 then they will loose the franchise tag for the length of his contract unless he is cut or retires......So that was the deadline and it doesn'taffect us one bit.

From my understanding Dallas has worked out a deal in principle with Howards agent and would be easy to complete the hang up is the Saints.... The deal is not done and the ADMIN at Scout.com seem to think the deal will be completed tonight or first thing in the morning......Of cource what do they know I don't think they have any inside info....

Is this Roy Philpott and his group that think this?
I've said several times lately that I'm just ready for this thing to end, but I can't hardly how it ends without Howard in Dallas. The Cowboys seem to be the most ardent suitor. The Saints need to move him, although they don't have to. I think both sides are just trying to get the best possible deal. I just hate the hangups.
I'll give them a 2nd plus Willie Blade for Howard.
