By Calvin Watkins

IRVING -- When the season started, Kevin Ogletree (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/12588/kevin-ogletree) was the Cowboys' No. 3 receiver.

After four weeks, Ogletree has been surpassed on the depth chart by Laurent Robinson (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10519/laurent-robinson).

Ogletree has struggled this season and described his play as "very average ... very average."

Laurent Robinson will be the Cowboys 3rd WR, that guy can play.

He has an over inflated opinion of his play. He hasn't been close to average.

Ogletree will almost certainly have a hard time even making the roster next year. If a WR can't distinguish himself as a receiver, he better be able to make a mark on special teams (Hurd/Copper/Holley), but Ogletree hasn't been able to do that much.

If Ogletree doesn't suddenly become a special team's ace, he won't make the team. Robinson in only 2 weeks has proven to be a better player. Robinson doesn't play special teams, so i don't think you can have another backup WR who does not contribute in that area.

Cant feel sorry for him because he more than had chances to impress. The staff seemingly even tried to make it easy for Ogletree to succeed but he could not get it done.

At least Ogletree is able to have a self-evaluation like this. It's really tough to be able to come out and say that you've been average, especially if he reads this board. And I've criticized him heartily.

Its so strange that OTREE can be so solid in preseason and just completely DISSAPEAR come regular season games.

Its mind number the magic act he gets away with.

Laurent Robinson is his replacement. You know it and I know it. The tea-leaves are calling and they say that time is running out for OTREE.

Dang I love me some Laurent Robinson.

I am just THRILLED TO DEATH he is playing so well for the club. You can see that Tony likes him too.

It's good that he can recognize it, although he would look pretty foolish if he denied it, so I'm not sure what choice he had. Still, the key is whether he can do anything about it, because right now it really isn't looking to good for him.
