The Giants have received quiet but strong contributions from undrafted rookie FB Henry Hynoski. The position was a bit of a concern in the preseason, but Hynoski has done a good job in the blue-collar role. His touches (two catches through three games) are likely to be kept to a minimum, but the coaches love what he has done as a blocker. Still, the Giants have played around with him as a receiver, sending him out on a wheel route against the Eagles in Week Three. At their heart, the Giants are still a running team, and though the passing game has opened up, even without a healthy receiving corps and no solid receiver at tight end, they still aim to pound the ball in key situations. And RB Brandon Jacobs said he loves playing with and running behind the rookie, who Jacobs says is borderline obsessed with technique and details. According to all reports, Hynoski has been among the more diligent studiers and is bent on not making the same mistake twice.

From my alma mater, Pittsburgh. I wish the Cowboys would have drafted him instead of Chapas.

Heard me did ya?

I was screaming too Hos,
Still down without phone and internet at home, but i did get moved, so not posting to much. I was drooling to get Hynoski the big bruising fullback too. Cotton picking draft people in cowboys draft section. Hopefully by the 13th of this month, will be back up on par.

If Fiammetta can stay healthy, i think we finally have a good FB.

I was really happy with what little I've seen of Fiammetta.

we didn't draft him because we drafted chapas to put on our practice squad to develop with the the rest of the projects we draft every year.

i cant believe how much a fail chapas has been. the giants getting a keeper in free agency makes it :bang2:

Garrett wants a FB who can be good at the point of attack and a good receiver out of the backfield.

Maybe we lucked out with Fiametta.

If not, we may just have to resort to drafting someone higher to fulfill the role instead of the constant churning at this spot. I do wonder if we'd be better off just getting one larger thumper at RB to complement the main back and go without a FB at all.

The answer is we were looking to draft a Chris Gronkowski clone in Sean Chapas for some reason.

A lot of us were/are screaming. He was well-liked on this board. Not sure why we didn't draft him. Red went after Chapas and Fiammetta so he obviously wanted a FB. I guess our scouts didn't grade him that highly for whatever reason. Hopefully Fiametta turns out to be a player and we don't have too much "rue" going on. :) It will also help if most of our draft picks turn out well.
