He played linebacker at Arkansas and we know Jerrah's Arkansas roots.
Jeb Huckeba (6-4½, 252) ran his 40s in 4.67 and 4.62. He had a 33½-inch vertical, a 10-foot long jump, a 4.16 short shuttle, an 11.38 long shuttle, a 6.90 three-cone drill and 18 strength lifts

Since when does Jerry Jones Arkansas roots aid in players being drafted by the Cowboys?
Exactly how many Arkansas players have we drafted under his watch?

I'm an Arkansas fan and I'd agree, although I bet he goes later than the fourth. He's one of those guys who isn't a good athlete but just seems to make plays. Caleb Miller was the same way two years ago, and he ended up going a lot higher than I thought he would, so I guess anything's possible.
BTW, he really played DE at Arkansas when I saw him (although he did play inside linebacker at first), and he's very undersized for that. Whether he could cover anyone at outside LB, I don't know... I seriously doubt it. But he was one of those guys who just showed up around the ball a lot, despite a lack of great athletic ability.

Is it me, or is Jeb Huckeba the most red-necked, imbred sounding name in the world?
I bet he's one heck of a fiddler.

Are you sure he doesn't have the athletic abilities? I mean if those number workout numbers are accurate, they measure really high up there with the best of LBs in the draft this year, including the size.

Terrence Murphy, Anthony Bryant, Junior Rosegreen, Dominique Foxworth, Karl Paymah could be anywhere in day 2.

Well, maybe he does... I was thinking of Merriman and Ware and guys like that. But the short shuttle is very good isn't it?
Even so, I didn't think he looked especially fast on the field, but he does play very hard and has a good feel for the game. JMO of course. :)

Exactly, his short shuttle was almost comparable to some good DB numbers. Thats what surprised me. His 40s are good as most top LBs too.
But if you say his production was good, then maybe he is one of those guys who doesn't seem fast but he is fast on the field? I have seen a game or two, but other than Matt Jones can't say I remember him that well.

I'm betting banjo.
I don't know about 4th, but maybe later. He is one of those tweeners that could probably help as either a 4-3 DE (probably only as a situational pass rusher) or a 3-4 OLB (or maybe inside).
He's been versitle and Arkansas and had something like 6 or 7 sacks this year. I've watched him for awhile and thought he'd be a good guy to look at in the later rounds.
