This guy is going to be a player. He'll make some big plays wherever he goes.

Darren Sproles

*One of only two players to contribute as a true freshman.
*1465 yards rushing as a sophmore.
*1986 yards rushing as a junior.
*1318 yards rushing as a senior.
*4979 yards rushing in his career at K-State with 45 touchdowns.
*First team All-American by The Associated Press and Sports Illustrated
*Named the Big 12 Player of the Year
*Possesses an incredible work ethic and was referred to as “Dudley Dooright” by quarterback Dylan Meier during the spring because he always seems to do the right thing
*Recorded the second-best all-purpose effort in school history (10th-best in Big 12 history) against Baylor (11/1), tallying 308 yards on four different touches of the ball (rush, catch, punt and kick returns)

Those are just a few of the highlights I could list for Sproles.

Who wouldn't want to get a player with that kind of heart, work ethic, and determination in the 4th round? With that kind of production?

In the fourth round? He should still be there.

He could make a heck of a contribution on kickoffs, punt returns, and as a situational back giving Julius some rest.

IMO, a fourth round pick couldn't be more wisely spent.

Heres a link to his website:

Darren Sproles (www.darrensproles43.com)

When you first open the page, it shows a run that is indicative of how Sproles plays... shifty, quick and elusive. Looks a little like Barry Sanders.

Also, here's a video highlight of Sproles:

Another video talking about what a special player he is:

Man... I hope we end up with him.

yea that lil sprout can move.
If he can keep from getting crushed in the pros, he'll be a playmaker.
Reminds me alot of Julius only smaller.

I would love him. I saw him play in alot of games and he is an amazing special teams player and would be a dangerous 3rd down or change up back.

i like him a lot, great value in the 4th too. I like him as a PR and COP RB.
I also like Jonathan Goddard a lot if he lasts past the second.

I've been hoping we'd land Sproles for a long time...ideal 3rd down back and a guy that can carry the ball some...great return guy, good receiver and explosive playmaker

I'm thinking he wont be there when we pick in rd 4 though...I wont be too surprised if he goes late 2nd or early 3rd

I think you'll be right on this one.

I would love to have him even though we have greater needs. I would find it very hard to pass over this guy in the 3rd or 4th.

I've never liked little backs but just got a feeling about this guy. JMO.

he is short but is not small...the guy has powerful, thick looking thighs

with his speed, receiving skills and ability to cut on a dime he'd be a great 3rd down/spell back for us here

You don't think he'll be there in the 4th?

I've read in a few places and heard Mel at the Senior Bowl that he'll go a little later because of his size and the fact that he can't do much to stop the blitz.

I could certainly see him going in 3... or even late 2 like someone said. But he just may make it to the fourth.

If he does... I hope we jump all over him. He'll be a blast to watch, and I think he's a full notch above Q. Griffin.

If he somehow fell to the 4th round which i think would be a miracle, it'd be an amazing pickup. Although it might be nicer to have a bigger back to compliment JJ, in the 4th round it'd be way too hard to pass up on him. i personally think he'll be gone 3rd round at latest.

Id rather have Anthony Davis

I would be shocked if Sproles last past the 2nd round.
Top of the 3rd at the very latest.

Sproles can flat out make plays. I really like him!

I also think GM's and Scouts know how good he is.

I would love to have him.

complete a trade for EJames or SAlexander.
This is an awfully deep draft for RBs, and you see guys fall at that position who have 1st-2nd round talent (LSuggs, OntSmith) from time to time. He could be there.

I would be shocked if Sproles last past the 2nd round.
Top of the 3rd at the very latest.

sproles is invisible until he's into your secondary. he could be playmaker.... quick.

on the other hand, they really bring the wood in the big leagues. he could get killed. quick.

Great 3rd down change of pace back, hands, vision, natural running agility and return skills to boot.
