Who do you think will be the sleeper in this year's draft?

Here are my choices -

Darren Sproles
Vincent Jackson

Also Mark Clayton!
I guess that would not be a sleeper pick, but I think when you look back at this draft in 2 or 3 years he will be one of the best players.

Potential steals/sleepers:

DeMarcus Ware

Josh Bullocks

Antaj Hawthorne

IMO either Justin Tuck or Brodney Poole. Justin Tuck is just starting to get a feel for the posistion and has gotten better each season. Poole is a guy who has got some of the most natual skills ive ever seen for a safety...runs fluid, can tackle, and is always around the ball. With some solid coaching he could be one the leagues best.

I've said all along I like Rosco Parrish out of Miami...... I also like stephen lefors (sp)

I think the player with the most (heart) would be Frank Gore he tore up a knee in each of the preceeding 2 seasons plus dealing with his learning disability he has shown he has a no quit attitude I think he can be a solid back if given the chance

RBs Shelton and Marion Barber, maybe Cadillac too if he drops to the 2nd half of the first round.

Chris Canty, DE

Kirk Morrison, MLB or OLB

Reggie Brown, WR

Carlos Rogers, CB

If I had to pick one, I think it'll be Canty.

if justin tuck can remain under the radar and fall to us at #42 - i think he is gonna be golden.

but the REAL STEALS won't be determined until AFTER the draft is held.

an example would be jason witten. IMO, he looked like the best TE coming out the year he was drafted. many mocks had him as the 1st TE selected and a probable 1st rounder... and he just kept falling - right into our laps with the 5th pick in the 3rd. thank you God.

If he can stay healthy, I think Cedric Houston has a chance at being a productive player. Tennessee has churned out successful running backs over the years, and I think Houston has a chance to start for a few seasons at this level. Won't be a top-of-the-line type by any means, but could be near that of a Travis Henry.

Matt Roth may have some steal potential.

Mike Patterson DT/NT Southern Cal

3 year starter at SC. Uses very good technique and has a great motor...very nice explosion off the LOS and is nearly unblockable if not double-teamed. I guess the downside is that he stands only 6'0 tall and weighs in at about 285 lbs.

If not for his "lack" of size, I think he'd be a definite 1st round draft pick. His more celebrated teammate on the Dline, Shaun Cody, will more than likely be picked ahead of him, but I think Patterson will enjoy a more successful NFL career.

That being said, I don't know if he'll be the biggest sleeper in the draft, but I believe he'll be a steal, nonetheless.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick from Harvard. Played very well at the Seniior Bowl while writing exams at thee same time. This guy has sixth-round Tom Brady type written all over him.

QB Stephan LeFors from Louisville. Very underrated.

RB Ryan Moats from Louisiana Tech. Short , but productive.

WR Mark Clayton. Maybe the best receiver in this draft.

There are more, but I see these guys as having the potential to surprise people.

Here are a few players that I think will be much better than where they're picked in the draft:

Patterson, DT, USC

Incognito, OL, Formerly Nebraska

Sproles, RB, Kansas St.

Pollack, DL/OLB, UGA (he may be picked fairly high, but I think his production will be greater than many taken before him)

Brock Berlin and Chris Rix. :lmao2:

Seriously, Charlie Frye and Dan Orlovsky. WRs Gibson, Bradley, and Parrish.

Pete McMahon at RT.....Iowa has been churning out OL.

I also have a sneaky suspicion that Clarett will be laughin at all his detrackers in a couple years.....and I don't even like the guy.

Jonathan Goddard, LB Marshall
Mike Williams even if he goes #1 (of course if the Foreskins get him, i hope and pray he's a huge bust)
Marlin Jackson, he's an outstanding, shutdown CB with better technique than Rolle, Jones, or Rogers. Ty Law II
Mark Bradley WR OU if he goes to the right system that will give him time to develop into a #3 and eventually #2 WR
Terrence Murphy, just incredible athlete
Mark Clayton IF he goes to a team with an established #1 WR already and a quality QB.
Antrel Rolle, playmaker anywhere and everywhere. Plug this guy in at ANY DB position and watch him make plays.
Jamaal Brown
There are a ton of RBs that will go in the second round or after that very well could turn out golden too, ....Morency, Sproles, Barber, Fason, and more..

Perhaps, but the best sports banner ever hung at a game was during a Seattle Mariners playoff game with Randy Johnson pitching....the banner reads:
"Nobody Beats R. Johnson"

Maybe Louisville FS Kerry Rhodes....and maybe as a Cowboy ;) I also agree with Stefan Lefors. May be small, but a highly accurate arm and he's got the wheels to scramble.

I also agree on Cedric Houston. Very good runner, too many injuries and he split time. He has potential though. And speaking of UT guys, they have a WR, Tony Brown, that may be a late round sleeper. 6-2, 200, 4.45, 40" vert, impressed scouts on his Pro Day. UT ran the ball heavily, but he's been a leader in receiving stats for a few years there, just not very big #'s. Maybe underused and definitely showing the measurables you'd want in a WR.

I want to answer before I read anyone else's predictions.

Bit of a loose canon, but a monster when he's right...Richie Incognito.

Adrian McPherson intrigues me because his talent and measurables are undeniable.

Mike Patterson at DT is going to be very solid for someone.

I hate kickers but I think whichever team ends up with Mike Nugent will be very happy.

Matt Jones intrigues me a lot.

I really like Josh Bullocks and can see him as our FS. Secretly hoping very hard for him to end up here.

I really like Lance Mitchell. I think he will be a top notch Pro MLB.

The position that is most likely to produce a true sleeper star is RB. I'll wager Sproles got a lot of picks. Mine would be Deangelo Williams of Memphis.

I am anxious to read the responses.

Well we're going to have to wait till 06 to find about DeAngelo :p: I don't think he;ll be a sleeper or a steal in next year's draft though. Could be a 1st rounder if he has another great year.

Mitch Meeuwsen, FS from Oregon St. He was overshadowed in their solid secondary that included Brandon Browner. He's a tad on the slow side but he's always around the ball and not afraid to get involved in the ground game either. Great late round potential pick for the 'Boys.

Gerald Sensabaugh, safety, North Carolina

He's 6-0 1/2, 214 pounds, and of all the safeties who tested at the combine, he had the highest vertical (46 inches), longest broad jump (11-1), the two fastest 10s (1.56 both times), the fastest 20 (2.62) and the two fastest 40s (4.50 and 4.52). He played three years at East Tennessee State, then transferred to UNC when his school dropped football. He's a leader, a student of the game and a special-teams standout.

me. I'm 6'2 200lbs. I have pretty good hands. My 40 time (around 5.2) is highly questionable, but I AM 33 years old so Parcells should like that. I'm very willing to play special teams. Think of me as a smaller, slower James Whalen. Simply unstoppable...... :D

Matt Jones.
He is learning a new position; one that is loaded with WRs. I think he will fall and he is an incredible athlete. He has great size: 6'6" and 230lbs and 4.4 speed.

He has great hands and he can play WR, TE, HB or back up QB.
