Felix Jones (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/11256/felix-jones)' high ankle sprain makes it unlikely that the Cowboys will deal Tashard Choice (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/11359/tashard-choice) before Tuesday's trade deadline.
Owner/general manager Jerry Jones said on KRLD-FM that two teams have contacted the Cowboys about Choice, but it's "doubtful" that a trade will be made.
"Any time anybody calls you, you give it some thought," Jones said. "But with the injury to Felix and where he is with his sprained ankle, I’m doubtful that anything will happen there. And, no, I don’t see any other trade possibilities."

Probably because he opened his gob up about it instead of just doing the deal when it could have been done.
And then Choice putting the ball on the turf on Sunday.

They must not have much faith in Tanner's ability to pass protect to keep Choice. Either that or he still hasn't learned the playbook.

I like Choice only down side to this deal is he is a FA next season and I'm sure he will look to move next season.

The moment that Felix went down with a high ankle sprain it spelled the end of any chance that Choice was going to be able to be dealt. They're going to need him because he's the only back on the roster with any experience. He'll be starting in place of Felix and I honestly expect him to do well.

Honestly.
Jones' diahrrea of the mouth is worse than ever.
The man speaks just to hear his own voice.
From saying stuff that's interpreted as second-guessing his coach to making sure to mention anything you're even thinking about doing behind the scenes, this old man drives me nuts!

So how would Jerry opening up his mouth ruin a potential trade?
The only way it would is if Choice was endangered of being outright cut.

Ask yourself this:
What does it help?
Other than Jerry Jones having something to say to a reporter so he gets attention.
Did the Bengals or Raiders announce their deal before they made it today?
Did the Eagles or Lions?
No.
Because broadcasting your intentions doesn't help anybody but the reporter you've given the news to.
"Hey Tashard, we tried to move ya but couldn't find any suckers er takers. Now go out there and give us yer best!"

I hope Choice seizes this opportunity with Felix out and I think he will.

True. Let me say I come from a different point of view than some others.
I don't make it personal. I have nothing aginst Choice I don't think he is a trouble maker or a problem player.
I think he is a good RB but I also know that he will be a FA and given his lack of playing time I'm sure he will want to go to another team to get a chance. If Dallas could get something now for him great. Having Felix out with the high ankle seems to have put this move on ice.

I always love the Pats and how they work things...they would have gotten a 3rd for choice;) they know when to pull the trigger
its tough to have 2 good players at 1 position..reality is if you dont win in the contract time frame they end up walking for greener pastures and the chance to possibly start
