View Full Version : Cowherd Top Ten Best - Cowboys Ranked 5th !!??
I was listening to Cowherd on the radio earlier today when he announced his top ten best list. He had the Cowboys @ 5th!, stated they would go on a 7 game win streak, and said alot of people would hate but he should probably have them ranked @ 2nd behind the Packers! Said the team could beat anyone and once we get used to winning against our soft upcoming schedule, we would get on a roll.
What's up with the Cowherd love?
BTW: BSPN moved us from #15 down to #21 (right above the Seahawks). LOL

I heard that too lol. I usually don't listen but I always listen to Ben and Skin and he comes on directly after so I end up listening often and he is a HUGE cowboys supporter, its almost refreshing because of the pounding and negativity everywhere else.
I was thinking that 5th was too high, based on talent sure but we are not playing like the 5th best team in the NFL, unfortunately. He made some good points and i pray he is right about a 7 game run but hey just opinions. He also loves the Niners and we ranked above them because we beat them.

Yeah I heard that earlier as well.
What Cowherd doesn't realise is these type of losses we have aren't a fluke. It's a staple in Cowboys football.

Cowherd has been on the Cowboys bandwagon since they hired Garrett. He has constantly defended them this year. I'm all for the love, but there's no way we're top 5 until our OL starts blocking better.

The thing is he should be right but Dallas won't get out of their own way. I've hoped they would for years now but it's the same ole with more effort.

This is funny, because Cowherd is wrong when he likes us and wrong when he hates us.
For the record, he was saying similar things about GB at this point last year.

I used to hate Cowherd. But the fact that he has stuck with the Cowboys and is buying the Cowboys' stock says something. He is no blathering idiot IMHO. I concur with Colin big time. Not because I am a die-hard Cowboys' fan, but because this team is a pretty dang good team. Yeah, there is a lot to work on yet. But the things we need to work on CAN BE FIXED... AND WILL GET FIXED! Garrett is too good of a coach not to get this done regardless what the haters may think. And this team is too talented not to buy into what Garrett is selling.
Go ahead and flame away at my post. And screw those who disagree!

I remember listening to Cowherd in late Nov 2008. He said the Cowboys were the best team in the NFL and were primed for a strong finish to the season and a long playoff run.
We all know how that turned out.

Makes some sense.
This team needs (especially the defense) to taste the rewards for its hard work with some victories.
Winning builds confidence, just look at the Lions and 49ers. They are playing like they know they should be there.

I'm not really a follower of Cowherd, and I don't know if I agree with his ranking or not, but what he gave as his reasoning is directly out of my own brain! lol I also feel like the team is about to go on a really nice winning streak that will build their confidence and hopefully help them learn how to win! Enough with the three- or four- point games. We need to start winning decisively, and I really do believe we will. Once the winning commences, I think much of the negativity regarding Romo's play, or Garrett's play calling will dry up and blow away. Wouldn't that be fun?

you know back when Parcells got the job, I happened upon cowherd and I liked what he was saying. It was fresh, new and he seemed to be very knowledgeable. I was like wow, I like this guy, it was very refreshing, because all I was getting around here on the local radio stations was negative bashing of the owner, players, coaches etc.
But somewhere between parcells first season and wade's last cowherd started bashing the Cowboys too, and I stopped listening to him, he was making me angrier than the local pundits.
Now, just the other day I was listening to him on my lunch break, he was talking about all the love he had for Romo and that he is all in with his Cowboys stock.
Someone please, explain to me why the sudden change of heart and when did this happen?

Good post. By his logic, Cowherd should have had the Cowboys in the top 5 for almost the entirety of the last 4 years...other than last season when Romo was injured.
In other news, every time I see these power rankings, regardless of the web site, I just think of how bad the NFL is right now :laugh2: There are a LOT of really bad teams.
