High School rivalry antics

Things have come a long way since I was in high school. Antics against the rival football team used to be things like spraypainting the grass on their field, TP'ing the school, things like that.

The two big high schools in my area are the Grayson Rams and the Brookwood Broncos. They started a video rivalry that has been quite clever. Here is the latest from the Rams...

FYI - The Grayson Rams are #6 in the country right now. There is a reference to Robert Nkemdiche in the video. He is considered by many to be the #1 high school prospect for 2013. One of the team trainers is a friend of mine, and he says Robert is already 6'5", 270#... as a 16 year old Junior.

Should have just done something like we did and stole the mascot or something.

Spray painting the field is always the best. One time we had the field folks from our school actually paint our home logos on another school's field...so it was a "home" game :laugh1:

The guy that brought the longhorn in was supposed tripping out of his mind. This isn't all the footage. He ended up bringing him up the stairs. They took the elevator down and it broke the elevator. There was all kind of scratches from the horns up and down the hallway.

I like the video rivalry... It's good, clean fun. Both schools have gotten behind it. They both did an excellent job with the music & production. All good.

My HS never did that because we were the doormat of the city in football. When we took the field there was one player left on the sidelines and no it wasn't me. All of our guys played both offense and defense.

Now basketball was a different story....Penny Hardaway nuff said. :D

Here's a cool update...
The songs & videos these kids made are all being used to raise money for charities. For Grayson, the money is going to Relay for Life (American Cancer Society). For Brookwood, the money is going to the Amanda Riley Foundation, which raised money for children with cancer.

the game was 7 to 7 with 27 seconds left in the game. It looked like it was going to be an overtime game. Brookwood threw a pick 6, and Grayson won 14 to 7. Really good defensive battle.
