Emmitt Smith weighed in on DeMarco Murray's franchise-record-setting performance via Twitter on Monday.

Said Smith (EmmittSmith22): "In order to be the best, you must be consistent for a long time. Hopefully this is the start of things to come."

Another tweet Sunday: "congrats to @DeMarcoMurray AWESOME job ...we needed this."

I didn't expect anything less. TD and Emmitt are classy individuals who both understand that records are only yours for so long, eventually someone breaks them.

Both EM and TD have have SB rings and are in the HOF. Doubt they worry at all about anybody breaking their records. But bet both hope Murray also wins a few SB rings & makes the HOF.
