Cowboys must back up Ryan's big mouth

IRVING -- Unless Bud Selig postpones Games 6 and 7 of the World Series until next month because there is an 8 percent chance of rain, by the time Sunday arrives the Dallas Cowboys will regain their status as the team in town.

By the time the Cowboys play the Eagles on Sunday night they will be out from under the considerable shadow created by, of all teams, the Texas Rangers. All of FW/d will be dried off from the ginger ale World Series celebration bath and the Cowboys will again have our full attention, and wrath.

The Cowboys picked an excellent game to legitimize themselves in the Hype Bowl.

If you don't recall, on Aug. 2 it was Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan who said of the Cowboys and Eagles, "I don't know if we win the all-hype team. That might go to someone else, but we're going to beat their *** when we play them

Funny....Rob Ryan was referring to his brother's Jets team. Mac still got it wrong because it didn't fit his vendetta.
