IRVING -- Cowboys fullback Tony Fiammetta has been active for two games this season (Washington and St. Louis), and they're the top two rushing performances of the season.
"He is the best blocking fullback that we've had since Daryl Johnston. That goes a long way. It's very effective," Jones said. "The fullback effectively splits the defense. It lets you block up in there, catch up, man up, with an extra player that you don't have when you're playing with a true prototype fullback. Not that [tight end] John Phillips doesn't do a good job up in there and when we need them, any of the other tight ends. He was a big addition. He is a big addition. We want to keep him healthy. If we can, he'll add a lot to us as we move forward these next 10 ballgames."

IRVING -- The Cowboys made a hard push to sign cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha when he was still on the open free agent market during training camp, but the Philadelphia Eagles put in a higher bid and ended up with the Pro Bowler.
"He's already been doing his job. He's got us directing game plans with him in mind," Jones said Friday morning on 1053. FM. "That's what those outstanding corners do for you. Now, we have some corners back there playing pretty good, too. To some degree, their secondary is one of the real strengths of their team. We'll have to and have had to adjust our game plan accordingly."

IRVING -- Owner Jerry Jones was asked Friday morning on 105.3 FM if he believes rookie running back DeMarco Murray can hit triple digits in rushing yards again Sunday night against Philadelphia if coach Jason Garrett commits to the running game.
"I don't know about that. If they have seven- or eight-man fronts and keep them up there, than that [can't] happen," Jones said. "When Emmitt Smith was here they couldn't do that because [Troy] Aikman would absolutely just enilate them with passes to [tight end Jay] Novacek and certainly to Michael Irvin, so they had to move back and keep six men in there.
