IRVING, Texas – Forty-eight seconds. Enough time for the average person to brush their teeth or check their mail.
At the August press conference announcing his election to the Cowboys Ring of Honor, Larry Allen summarized 12 years of memories and emotions toward the organization he calls home – not to mention his thoughts on his greatest individual achievement yet as a professional athlete – in just under one minute.

That's Larry. He'll never be as effusive as Drew Pearson or as demonstrative as Charles Haley, the men joining him as the 18th, 19th and 20th members in the franchise's famed Ring. Allen admits he has actually been more nervous for his halftime induction speech than at any point in his illustrious NFL career.

"I don't have a helmet on," he said, followed by his trademark hearty laugh.

Allen can't hide his contributions toward the Dallas Cowboys. They've been too great.
