Miles Austin will be out 2-4 weeks with right hammy. I'm also told by source there's a "much better chance" Sean Lee will play this week.

I said it in the News Zone and I stand by it:

Sean Lee's return > Miles Austin's return

Still sucks, though. We were benefitting from that single coverage on Robinson.

Apart from the underneath coverage on intermediate routes, Sean Lee's the reason our running defense is dropping off, too. That's huge. I was surprised to see us do such a nice job in the secondary without Jenkins, but then, we *were* playing a QB who basically is only able to use half the field on offense. Missing McBriar blows, too, though the replacement punted pretty well for us yesterday.

Thats what I figured after seeing him come up lame yesterday. Sit the next 3 games and he comes back for Cardinals game.

Agreed.

With other teams playing as much 2-deep as they have been, Austin's impact has been minimal.

we are going to need a HEALTHY miles austin for the giants. They are looking better and better. The giants defense is going to give our offensive line problems.

That sucks but it's not shocking.

I'll be much happier if Lee returns though. That will be great.

Carter and Lee will be needed against teams like the Eagirls and Packers.
