Our weekly throw-by-throw look at Dez Bryant's development:
39-YARD GAIN: On first-and-10 from the Dallas 30, Bryant lines up wide left and runs a stop-and-go route down the sideline, getting separation when cornerback Brandon Browner bit on the hesitation just before the sticks. Tony Romo threw a perfect pass that Bryant caught moments before safety Kam Chancellor arrived. Browner lined up in press coverage but didn’t jam Bryant, giving the receiver a free release

If L. Robinson gets his block, Dez does not fumble last game.
I like LR, .. I'm just saying.
He not only would not have fumbled, .. he may have scored.

you are correct. Robinson could of had a better block but dez still have to be more aware when carrying the ball.

Yep, his hands are so big and he is so strong, he should never fumble.
I know that is a stretch, but being the beast that he is, fumbling should not be a concern.
Knowing and running the routes, .. yes, but not fumbling.

He needs to learn to wrap up the ball and go down rather than flail around with the ball out. Dude's gonna start tearing things and teams are gonna start going for the strip knowing he won't go down. I love it as much as anyone when he breaks tackles and gets extra yardage, but long term it's stupid.

To everyone saying "he should never fumble" blah blah.
You do realize we are playing another team right? And sometimes, the other teams players have to win, right?
Well Dez got spun towards the goal line and then had a pretty good hit put on him.
The other guy made a good play. Sometimes we just have to accept it.

Tackle breaking is one thing, but having your ankles wrapped up and refusing to go down is something that he needs to work on.

I tried that angle before. It went over about as well as a flock of Geese over a freshly washed Porsche.

I gotta say, because of how big and strong Dez is, I never anticipated he'd have trouble with the jam.

I only own one jersey right now, and its Dez. He is a flower getting ready to bloom, a caterpillar about to change into a butterfly - in other words he's still learning. He's missed a lot of playing time and practice since before we drafted hiim through this offseason. Let him learn the nuances of his position, get a better awarness of what's expected of him as a professional wide receiver in the NFL, and he'll be fine. No, better than fine, he'll be like our own version of Megatron. We've all seen glimppses of what he can be, and as this season progresses and with a full offseason next year, he'll be a true weapon of mass destruction... Let's just be a little patient with him.

at what point does this so called patience with him not being disciplined; not learning the play book; and everything else end?

It's not just about strength and size. Sometimes it's about technique, which he has to develop.
Another way to help him is to put him in motion.

That's all about technique, which he's very poor and raw at right now.
couchscout mentioned it in one of his game wraps and I've seen it myself, he doesn't have much of any repitiore of moves to get off the line. In fact, he does it like a 10-year old pee wee leaguer would do it; hop in the air and then sort of shimmies trying to fact out his man. Veteran press corners like Al Harris eat that alive.
Once again, it's the minor details of the craft which seperate the great receivers from the rest.
