I am excited to see this movie, this will be the first time I head to the theaters since Avatar. It simply looks amazing.

An interesting tidbit, the budget couldn't afford DiCaprio's usual price tag ($20m), he took a 90% paycut and took $2m. Oscar worthy performance. It comes out on Friday.

Strange man. Smart though he knew to get the dirt on every President so that his job was secure and they did not mess with him
I'll looking forward to seeing the movie myself however I'll wait until it is released on DVD.

Look at it as entertainment... not a documentary...
Love Eastwood, but several he consulted with have said he took poetic license...
I'll wait for DVD... I rarely go to the theater unless it is a big screen spectacle...

True, it is a movie not a history lesson. What I know of Hoover is a mixed bag of good and bad. His personal life as it started coming out painted the picture of a pretty strange guy

That happens all the time when actors want to make movies that interests them; usually it just means he gets a bigger revenue split and will cash in even more money if the movie is a hit.

From what I heard. LD did a great job, but the movie's story-line is heavily flawed in the path it takes.

That's why he took the role...
He's won best ****** for 5 years running... ;)
I thought he was really good in Catch Me If You Can... everything else was a boorish beating...

I enjoyed his portrayal of Howard Hughes in The Aviator

Yup. That was definitely a good one.
I'm not a big fan of taking 40 year old actors and trying to make them look 80 years old, makeup has come a long way but it's still a bit distracting.
Edgar looks good though, not sure if I need to see it in theaters but I will see it eventually.

I can't afford the theaters will out seeing the loan officer. :laugh2:
I have 60" LCD flat screen with surround sound, I'll wait for it to come out on disk
Unlike the theater if I need to get a snack, use the rest room I can put it on pause when I go to the theater and holler for them to put it on pause they tell me to shut the hell up. :laugh2:

Yeah, pretty much the same here. I have all this home theater stuff, I only see movies in theater that benefit greatly from seeing them on the big screen, IMAX, 3D, etc.

Same. It has to be LARGE to get me to go to the movies. I prefer it in IMAX as well. ;)
