IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/11259/mike-jenkins) is hoping to return against Miami on Thanksgiving from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last two games.
Jenkins suffered the injury in the second half of the 34-7 loss at Philadelphia on Oct. 30 and was expected to miss 3-4 weeks. With such a quick turnaround from this week’s game against Washington to the matchup with the Dolphins, it would not make sense for Jenkins to put that much stress on his leg.
Coach Jason Garrett said injured players like Jenkins, Miles Austin (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10147/miles-austin) and Felix Jones (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/11256/felix-jones) are day to day.
“We want to make sure they’re ready to go and ready to be themselves before they go out there and play,” Garrett said.
