A mountain of a man at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, Folkerts has ascended to the mountain top to anchor the offensive line for the No. 15 Ichabods (1-0), who play their MIAA and home opener against Lincoln (1-0) at 6 p.m. Thursday at Yager Stadium.
"Brian came in as a freshman and it didn't take long before he was starting," WU coach Craig Schurig said. "His intensity, athletic ability and toughness is everything you want in an offensive lineman, and he's also very smart."
