Was I the only one not buying into "Dream Team"?
I mean, seriously.
Vick has never gotten it done. And all of a sudden he was going to do it in Philly?
DeSean - he threw McNabb under bus when he was here - those guys never win.
Andy - cleary, his effectiveness was gone a long time ago.
The FA signings? Hardly do they amount to anything(team wins/SB) etc.
Its gotta be the right combination of many things.
Oh yeah, and Vince Young... come on.
I never bought into "Dream Team"
Eagles - Flight of Icarus - ending

No. I was never a believer in them. Hostile wasn't either. Pretty much 50 percent of this site was pissing their pants at the prospect of having to face the Eagles the other half was saying bring it on.
I very clearly remember me calling them the 2011 Miami Heat and calling us the 2011 Mavs :D

Not sure why this team was ever compared to the Miami Heat

Look at the all the star power they added in the offseason just like the Heat did in 2010. Just like the Eagles you had a bunch of mediots crowning them as the championship favorite and both failed miserably.

They are the 2008 version of the Dallas cowboys. They have a lot of names, but zero chemistry and cohesiveness. Once things started going bad it was over. At least the cowboys waited till the end to break out hearts, the eagles were done by week 6.

Anybody with a football brain knew they had problems in the trenches and that Vick is still wildly inconsistent as a passer.
It's not like the dream team was given any clout other than on espn...

You definitely weren't. I didn't think they would be this bad but definitely didn't think they were going to run over the league like everyone was claiming.
1. Teams don't win the Super Bowl by building teams this way.
2. The so-called "talent" they acquired wasn't all that to begin with. DRC is an average corner. Nnamdi was never tested in Oakland to see how good he really was. Vince Young, do you really need an explanation. Jenkins, was solid but injured and never really a breakout start. Babin, had one good breakout year.
3. In addition to what they brought in their current crop of players mainly Vick were exposed the last month of 2010.
4. Their coaching staff, mainly d-coordinator was not good at all. This guy has no clue how to coach a defense.

Heck no. I was mocking people who were freaking out about all they had done to improve. I said they weren't learning from the Redskins mistakes.

I thought they would be a pretty decent team, but I also knew they had some BIG problems with their linebackers and Oline. One of the guys I work with said they would win the East easily after their free agent signings. I told him they might, but they were going to have some issues. I was right.

I bought the hype and picked them to win the NFC East, I will admit.

Steve Smith, Cullen Jenkins, Nnamdi Asomugha, and Jason Babin all say hi. Jenkins and Asomugha were definitely star player signings. That's where the whole dream team thing even came from. They signed a bunch of high profile FAs.
