Former Florida (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/57/florida-gators) coach Urban Meyer has taken the head coaching job at Ohio State (http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/194/ohio-state-buckeyes), sources confirmed to ESPN on Monday.

Ohio State will hold a news conference at 5:15 p.m. ET at the Fawcett Center to introduce its new coach.

Urban Meyer signed a six-year, $24 million deal plus bonuses to be the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes

Been praying for him to come here since Tress was fired.

Sounds like OSU is finally going to pay SEC $ for some good assistant coaches. No more unqualified yes men to tell tress how great he is.

This is fantastic news.

I'm very excited.

He's a Buckeye born and bred...and understands what it's all about to be the Head Coach here.

This is the best you could hope for if you're a Buckeye fan.

This was a no brainer. Seemed like it was just a matter of time for months now that they'd get Urban.

Urban Meyer is a great coach. I hope his health issues are behind him.

Once he went to a conference that didn't have Nick Saban in it, his health miraculously improved.

Looks like he is keeping Fickel as an assistant. Wonder if he can keep vrabel too. Im sure he will have this team rolling in a year or 2. He just needs to recruit. I feel sorry for the rest of the Big 10 ... cause OSU is gonna own the whole conference for a few years once he gets rolling. Im predicting he doesnt reach the end of the contract.
