Great pick by the Broncos.
Barring injury, he's going to be a Pro Bowler for most of his career.
Seems to be a great guy too.

It really was. I knew he would be a good pass rusher but he is doing better vs the run than I thought he would at this level.

Great young player

Yes he's played spectacular, but there was really no way of getting him. I'm more than happy with Tyron Smith who like Miller is having a terrific rookie season and barring injury will be a pro bowler the remainder of his career.

Fellow rookie Aldon Smith is doing pretty well too.

I agree. I'm more than happy with Tyron. Dallas had to address the OL and getting him was a move in the right direction and his play has been outstanding and should only improve considering he is still too young to even buy beer. :laugh2:

If Miller was on the Cowboys people would be upset with his 3 sacks and saying he was a wasted draft pick and we should've went offensive line.

He was off the board by the time we picked, it's really a moot point.

I can't imagine what our oline would look like if we hadn't drafted Tyron Smith. Von Miller has played well but I think most fans around these parts would expect four sacks a game between Von Miller and Ware. As it stands a lot around here think Ware gets his sacks in garbage time and never makes big plays.

I think he is poised to succeed Ware as the best 3-4 OLB eventually

Von Miller's rookie season > Clay Matthews' rookie season

Von Miller's rookie season > Clay Matthews' current season

Von is straight up NASTY... He has so many moves in his arsenal already. One of the few guys from the '11 draft class that I'd take over Tyron.

Von Miller desperately wanted the Cowboys to trade up to get him. He is a huge Cowboy fan.

I know. I'm saying I don't believe he'd have 9 sacks if he was playing alongside Ware. He'd be closer to Spencers sack total than he is Ware's if he played in this system. I just threw 3 out there because I just assumed that Spencer was around that title. There is no way we could get away with pass rushing both of our OLB's all game long. No way. Von Miller is a beast. But there is a reason why teams don't have two dominant pass rushing linebackers on their team. Spencer compliments Ware.

Clay Matthews would like to have a word with you.

Clay Matthews is more hype than substance, much like Troy Polamalu. Troy although is a very good to great player, he is not all that either, since his bad plays are never high lighted.

Von Miller has the physical skills to be next Demarcus Ware. He has his speed and quickness. He is not as big as Demarcus.

But one can only know after few years. There are lot of flash in pans. Who ever thought, the original "Freak" Javon Kearse wont end up being HOF type of player after his career ended? The great ones have logevity and sustained Greatness.

Demarcus if he gets 20 Sacks this year, will be only play in NFL history to ever do that, in two different seasons, since Sacks started being counted.

Clay Matthews is not even in same zip code as Demarcus Ware is and will never be either. He is a very good player no doubt, but is not the physical freak Demarcus is, and Von Miller is only guy who might get there, if he is healthy enough and keeps improving. His quickness is amazing much like Ware.

Ware would have little to nothing to do with Miller's sack numbers.

Thats just insane. Its insane for both players, but especially for Polamalu. Polamalu is the best safety in the NFL. ANd your reasoning is pretty suspect. I've seen plenty of Steelers games and I don't ever remember him ever really screwing up.

It's suspect too because even if we were to agree that he makes mistakes like any other of the league's safties, what seperates him from the pack is the fact he makes positive plays very very few other players at the position make.

What makes particular players great isn't necessarily the common flubs that everyone else makes, but the plays they do make that others don't.

Von Miller is a beast.

I've heard excuse after excuse about Clay Matthews' drop off this season (double teams, change of scheme, etc.). However, one has to wonder if the HGH testing that the NFL is putting in with the new labor agreement has him cycling off of it.

We know his friend Brian Cushing got caught. Merriman was never the same after he got caught.

Matthews supposedly put on a ton of clean muscle mass in high school and college. More than is humanly possible without some sort of growth hormone.

im sorry but von miller has been beast mode this season. He is a rookie and his having a great season. He might end up with more sacks in his rookie season than clay mathews had last year (his best year). Von miller only needs 3.5 more sacks to tie clay mathews best sack season.

This year clay mathew doesn't even look better than spencer to be honest, but than again clay mathews doesn't play across a sack beast in demarcus ware.

I can't believe last year some people was saying clay is better than ware:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :banghead: :banghead: :bang2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1:

Demarcus Ware would also like a word with him.

How long is eventually? I'm hoping he meant in like 5 or 6 years when Ware starts to lose a step. No one is close to usurping Ware anytime soon.

Anyways never said Matthews or anyone is anywhere near surpassing Ware.

I still wonder what he'd be like in a 3-4 but Miller was the guy I wanted most in the draft. We never had a shot at him, but we can still dream.

TOTAL BS. Have you watched Von Miller- he is easily twice the pass rusher Spencer is. EASILY.

I agree. But he's not nearly the run stopper he is and he's asked to play a different role on Bronco's defense. Not saying if Spencer was in Miller's role he'd be as successful but its silly to assume he'd be just as good in our system as he is in the Bronco's.

Millers looks/plays a lot like Derrick Thomas (Chiefs) did.

John Elway told Miller that was exactly who he reminded him of and why they drafted him. He said he hated playing against Thomas because he could never get comfortable in the pocket when they played the Chiefs.

I agree Tyron has been outstanding, I like Miller but Dallas made the right choice in getting Smith. His work will not show up on many stat sheets but this kid is very good and will only get better.

I agree. They would. That's why i'm trying to stop the hindsight viewers over here thinking we not only had a chance at Von Miller but that he would've been a better pick than a DOMINANT left tackle.
