Hamstring Injury Costs Holmes Roster Spot

For two straight days, it looked as if wide receiver Andre Holmes was finally going to get that shot to be on the 53-man roster.
The practice squad receiver worked with the special teams units on Wednesday and Thursday, a good indication he would be called up since he’s in the game plan for this week. But near the end of Thursday’s practice, Holmes suffered a strained hamstring that will likely keep him out of action for a few weeks.
It’s actually the second time this year Holmes has injured his hamstring on the week the Cowboys were considering signing him to the roster....
