IRVING -- Cowboys starting center Phil Costa hasn't had any lingering symptoms from suffering a concussion Sunday night against the Giants and is on schedule to play in Saturday night's game at Tampa Bay, coach Jason Garrett said Thursday morning

"We'll see. He's had no symptoms since the ballgame and we've gone through the protocol," Garrett said. "He didn't do anything the last couple of days, but we intended that right from the start. He is on schedule to be able to play if he responds well over the next couple of days. Everything up until this point he's been cleared to do and has handled those well."

Kowalski (sp?) did a great job for being a rookie and coming in on short notice.

I think they should leave him in and see what he's got!

shouldn't lose your job to injury. Put him in the game for a series and see how he performs and if it is not up to par with Kolwaski (sp?) then replace him.

I don't consider it losing your job to injury if you play like ****, happen to get injured and the guy behind you plays better than you were before getting injured.

Austin gained a starting job via injury.

You might want to rethink that. No player is owed anything. The best players should play.

Makes sense. You know Costa sucks. Today, tomorrow and next year. Might as well give Kowalski a look these next three games so we know just how dire the C need is in the offseason.

I hope Costa is ready to go for this game. Right now we have 1 center if he goes down there is little else other than moving a guard (if not mistaken Koiser) to Center.
