Texas A&M's entry into the SEC will be challenging. The Aggies not only kick off the SEC season against Florida, they still play Arkansas while hosting LSU and Missouri and visit Auburn, Mississippi State and Alabama on Nov. 10.

It could have been worse, but not by much. I wasn't expecting to see Kentucky or Vanderbilt on the schedule.

Probably something along the lines of "Seriously, what did you expect?" I'm not looking forward to next season.

Maybe so but you have to do well in your conference to get any where

I think they will get romped on. But hey I'm pretty sure they knew this going in. They wanted the change and they got it. No one knows what they may build. But it will be rough. Definitely better teams than what the Big 12 offers.

well at least A&M

has more balls than Baylor

they at least joined a REAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE

I am surprised that the Big 12 even lets them play

I figured they be Conference USA by now

I figured they be Conference USA by nowLOL, A&m just hired a Conference USA coach...one that won with Art Briles of Baylor's recruits, try again. Joining the SEC does not mean one has graduated to excellence, if you were mediocre in a supposedly lesser league (one the BCS presently ranks the best) then good luck with a better one.

Nice trolling though, think you got stuck in the moss though.:D

To be honest, Kentucky and Vandy might be upset they don't get to play ATM.

Aggie joke friend, aggie joke. I like how he singles out the team they're especially hurt to be lapped by.

Statistically, the Big 12 is the best this year. Year in, year out, SEC is probably better but the Big 12 is right there as well.

Well both schools had one loss, and Alabama's was to #1 overall, whereas OkSt lost to an unranked.

I can see both sides, but you have to be a fan of OKst to not see the other side as well.

And let's be honest, no way in the world Okst would beat LSU.

OSU would get trucked by either LSU or Bama. Time and again it has been shown that wide open spread offenses simply do not stand up to elite defenses with speed and strength.

Really, well, the computers say that the Big 12 is better this year. If you have issue with that, you would need to take it up with the BCS as they set up the criteria for it. The numbers don't lie. Has nothing at all to do with where LSU or Alabama is ranked.

No kidding? You should tell Utah and Boise that. They ran spread offenses against elite defenses with speed in Oklahoma and Alabama and won. Perhaps they did not get that memo. Florida has won National Championships running spread offenses as well. You don't know what OSU could have done. At this point, we will never know but your statement is not a factual one. That has been proven on the field.

The team with the higher ranked defense has won all but one BCS national title game and 80% of BCS bowls. I can count on one hand the number of times a great SEC defense has even been tested by an offense like OSU's.

Defense is still what wins championships. Oh, and the OU defense that Boise beat was something like 65th in total defense that season. OU hasnt had a "great" defense since Mike Stoops was there, and in recent years it's been downright suspect to bad.

Yeah, because you would be if it were the Aggies in that situation instead right? They're a bitterly asinine fanbase tonight, hating everyone else's success. OSU can't win a title and Baylor can't get to a BCS game...of course earlier this season it was Baylor can't win more than 7 games, or win the Heisman...

Who here do you think doesn't understand it? Doesn't mean it's correct. According to their own criteria, there should be no way that Alabama ended up ranked 2nd but it appears to be a flexible thing, just depending on how the BCS wants to look at it.

I'm no OSU fan by any stretch of the imagination but I know that they got the short end of the stick Cyth. Heck, even players from LSU said this earlier in the week. Doesn't matter, it's done now.

I see, so now the OU defense was crappy and the Alabama defense, what was that? I'm sorry but your statement about spread offenses is wrong. That's just a fact. Spread Offenses have beaten good Defenses in the past.

What time has proven is that great defenses beat great offenses, of any kind. However, if you wish to fit that to your point, that's fine. Doesn't change the fact that your original statement is not correct. Defense and speed don't always beat the spread offense. That is a fact.
