It would be a good fit IMO. Let him end his career in the place that it all started.

They'll have 2 weeks to get him integrated?

Might not be a horrible idea if only to use him as a decoy.

I don't care how much he's aged he can still get down the field pretty fast and that's decoy enough.

TO notice how you are not bigger than the NFL and the league moves on without you. Go get a job no one wants you. You burned your bridges now deal with it

I am sure that he is still well thought of by many in the bay area. He represents a link to their glory days. It would definitely be a good match- from a historical perspective and would be a fitting spot for Owens to finish it out.

I hope it happens.

I don't think anyone wants him. No NFL teams sent anybody to his work outs and no team called to inquire about TO situation other than an AFL team, who I'm sure would love to have a named player join their league.

I am sure that "somebody" would consider him. Especially a playoff team with a need for a proven, playmaker at the position.

I wonder if San Fransisco would qualify for a home team discount?

I have to say I don't heading into the playoffs with a guy who has not played all year and did not look great last year and comes with a ton of baggage. I don't see it and I don't see Harbaugh being the type of coach who would want a guy with TO reputation.

TO is done and over

We are in a time where self fullfilling prophecies are common place, it seems Terrell Owens "ghetto behavior" has torn him a new hole several times throughout his fabled career, now it's going for the head...ie. Donovan McNabb.

The 49ers have had a great season. A huge reason for that is because they play together as a team and everyone gets along. The last thing they need is to bring in an egomaniac like T.O.

TO will sign with them and have a 155 yard, 2-TD receiving game the first week he's back.

TO did look pretty good for Cincy last year, especially for a guy his age.

Unfortunately for TO I'm pretty sure his career is done. i think he's just grasping at anything that might let him play one more time but the fact that there have been so many injuries this year, so many teams without a real threat at WR, and no one wanted to give him even a shot tells me the guy is probably never going to play another down in the NFL.

He was? is that why Cinn wanted him back? TO is a pain in the butt by now even his supporter should understand that. SF, Philly, Dallas, Buff and Cin let him go and when working out and inviting teams to his workout NO NFL team showed up. What does this tell you?

AFL wants him because he is a name and they could use all the publicity they can get outside of that no one wants this guy

Cincy let more than TO go this offseason so I'm not exactly going to hold that against him on this case.

That said I dont think anyone is saying the guy hasn't been a headcase or issue in his stops. THey were simply commenting on his on field play which was pretty good once again.

And the public workout thing...why do people continue to try and use that? Plenty of NFL people have come out and said, and pretty much anyone following football knows this, that teams don't generally send anyone to things like that. If they want to look at you they bring you in and work you out.

So trying to use that is just lame.

Not good enough to put up with his crap. If teams were willing he would have a job fact is he does not. not 1 team even those in need of WR sent anyone to look at him. As for sending people BS that came from TO agent fact is teams interested would at least send people from their scouting department and no team called him in for a work out did they?

Again no one is debating any of that stuff. I'm not sure why you're feeling the need to use any of it in response to rather he played well last year.

And I can't remember a time in my whole life where teams have ever sent players to an open workout like the one TO was doing.

For college players about to enter the draft, at their schools, sure. But some player just having his own open workout? I don't recall a time when anyone has ever done that.

If they think they could use you they fly you in and give you their own workout.
