It will be a high-stakes game tonight as the Dallas Cowboys invade New York to decide the NFC East title, and Giants coach Tom Coughlin's job also could be at stake.

The showdown between quarterbacks Eli Manning and Tony Romo is thick with drama, even if both teams bring 8-7 records to the NFL's regular-season finale in prime time.

Manning has had the better season, passing for 4,587 yards and 26 touchdowns. He rescued the Giants' postseason hopes in the teams' first meeting on Dec. 11, passing for 400 yards and two touchdowns to upset Dallas, 37-34.

If OL/DL play is a wash, no way we lose this game.

The thing about the Giants' "QB edge" is that it simply doesn't exist. Romo's twice the QB that Eli is.

Lets SE:

Tony has better numbers in everything except yards.

Yet manning has had the better season?

Another example of the media trying to warp perception amongst those who don't care to know the facts...Good eye my friend...good eye.

exactly how manning got in the probowl over romo:bang2:
Romo has been better than manning but the media did a great job of making romo seem like rex grossman:bang2:. Romo had maybe 1 and a half bad games this year. Eli had more than a couple bad games. And romo also played maybe 3-4 games with a broken rib. If romo doesn't break his rib or our top wr's stay on the field than romo could be one of the guys passing the 5,000 yard mark.

Norm Hitzges said it best on the post game show tonight: the difference between Romo and Manning is that Eli gets to play against our defense. :(

The Giants value and acquire pass rushers and pressure players, and we value and acquire Marcus Spears, Igor Olshansky and Kenyon Coleman. In an era where 5 QBs are throwing for 5000 yards in the same season, you might want to put more emphasis on acquiring players who make quarterbacks uncomfortable and put less emphasis on acquiring stiffs.

Agreed.

We have to get more pass rush out of people other than Ware. Only having Ware to consistently rush the passer is not going to get it done.
