Wade should be content in his duties now and NEVER even think about getting in to coaching again. He's not a leader of men.

He definitely should be considered based on his ability to coach a defense. His head coaching style can work. I think we see now that everything in Dallas wasn't Wade's fault. Sure, he lost the team last year, but that happens to a lot of head coaches. Look, I'm not saying the guy is great or anything but i think he took too much blame after last season.

He failed in Denver, Buffalo and Dallas. Not all the problems in Dallas were Wade's fault. But he is not a head coach. He's just not.

Most guys dont get three shots never mind four. Of course Jerry never figured out the trend wasnt his friend.

Say what you want about Phillips. He had this team at 13-3, winning the East, with a first round bye in his first year here. 2007 was an incredible year for this team. 2009 wasn't too bad either.

The problem with this team was not Bill Parcells or Wade Phillips, and currently, the problem is not Jason Garrett.

I hope Phillips does get another opportunity and does well with it. This team let him down in a huge way.

He might get considered but Wade should realise that he's probably not going to get another HC job in the NFL.

When you look at his HC career as a whole, there has been some good, but there's been more bad. Every stop has been the same. He comes in as a breath of fresh air, and the team improves. Then, as his lack of leadership becomes blatantly apparent, he gradually loses his team, and they get progressively worse. That's not someone you want as a head coach.

And Jerry should be considered for the GM position, oh wait!

I like Wade....always seemed like a good man to me.

I even wanted him to at least get a fair shot here in Dallas.

He did. And from what I saw he is no more than an average head coach.
The team flat out quit on him last year.

I dont think Wade should get any calls.....not with his recent health issues. He may be fine after these surgeries, but you never know. I would find it hard as a GM to put my backing behind a coach who has recently dealt with serious health issues....especially knowing the stressful nature of the position.

All for this. Redskins, Eagles, Giants...Wade's a hot commodity. Jump on this opportunity ASAP!

Hilarious avatar. And deeply troubling. :)

He'd be a perfect head coach for the Jaguars.

Perhaps he was never leading "men" while he was here. Fathom that thought for a moment.

Which coach took the Dallas Cowboys to their last playoff victory in the past 15 years?

Wade just doesn't get it & he should since he's been coaching so long in the NFL--with several HC stops. At none of Wade's previous HC jobs did he win any playoff games. We all hoped Wade's DC credentials could get the Cowboys to a few playoff wins. Yes, we made it to the playoffs in 2007 (lost to Giants) & 2009 (beat Eagles but blown out by Vikes); his 1-7 record in 2011 lead to his firing in mid season but still he kept quoting his won/lost records. He's still doing the same thing--referring to his won/lost record in the regular seasons as a reason some NFL owner should hire him at the age of 64. Frankly, only a fool would hire Wade again as a HC; DC is forte & he should stick to it.

Don't laugh..... Trey Wingo just tweeted that the Texans gave the Bucs permission to interview him for their HC job.

By the time this defense is finished with Ryan he won't be considered a head coach either. It is the players that are pitiful not the coaches....well not all the coaches.

Henshould tell the teams he would like to work with the GM of the Cowboys, maybe someOne will try to hire our GM away.

Wade is a heck of a coach. Ware, Bradie James, Anthony Spencer, Jay Ratliff, Gerald Sensabaugh, Terence Newman, Romo & Witten, all had their best seasons under Wade.

Wade was not the problem here in Dallas, this much even the Wade haters should realize that by now.
