Since they're not going to be bounced in the 1st round now, at this point, I want them to go to the Super Bowl and lose. There is nothing more heartbreaking than going to the championship and losing. Of course it's risky and the AFC isn't really impressive but that would be ideal.

I think the gnats stack up better against gb than they do the aints. not saying that the gnats will beat gb, but I think they have a better shot against gb.

Yep. Green bay offensive line is bad and the gnats have a good pass rush. I see the gnats coming out of there with the win.

Sorry to say, but I think they are going to win it. They should have not have been in the playoffs. Cruz fumbled that ball in Arizona. It should have been a lose. :bang2:

Was it really necessary to start a thread with all of those disgusting words in the title? It's sickening enough to have to live through this nighmare here in NJ. I come here for Cowboys stuff and read the worst words possible in this thread title (minus the "If").

My anger towards our OL, pass defense, and even our coaches is through the roof right now. This team was sitting at 7-4. We beat AZ only to have the winning kick wiped out by our coach and then blow a 12 point lead at home to these vagiants with around 5 minutes left. FGs and punts blocked. An absurd amount of offsides in both Vagiants games. So many BS moments during this season and I have to sit here and watch sheli and his classless gang of jerks beat Matty Choke. A lot of the time I really hate that I care about football. This just sucks beyond words.

The vagiants (not Eli) beat a pathetic Favre that day. That has nothing to do with this year.

Yea you are right. I would love to see Brandon Jacobs get another super bowl ring. What was I thinking.

Right, watching the Giants today just points out how far Dallas is from becoming competitive in the NFC East. It is going to take 2-3 years for Dallas to catch up to the Giants, even if the Giants don't improve in those years.

Big effective receivers: Advantage goes to the Giants
Defensive Line: Advantage goes to the Giants
Offensive Line: Advantage goes to the Giants
Power running backs: Advantage goes to the Giants
Defensive secondary: Advantage goes to the Giants
Field goal kicker: Advantage goes to the Cowboys

It sad, but it's true. What makes it even sadder is that the Giants were "rebuilding" their OL this year (just like Dallas) and lost their top CB in the preseason.

They are still far, far ahead of Dallas in both areas.

That doesn't even take into account the likelihood of Philadelphia bouncing back next year.

FLCowboy, is their QB better too ?

I would say their coaching is better.
Not so sure that the QB is though.

Yet we only finished a game out of first. We are not that far away.

Their advantage at receiver and Oline isn't that great. Our running game is actually better. We have better lbs.

I give the Packers the slight edge because unlike 2007, the packers don't have a QB who is interception prone like Brett Farve

Remember the packers got the ball first in OT and Farve threw a INT

Different qb, different defensive scheme, Matthews was not there, favre was interested in staying warm than in winning the game. I know it was rumored that at halftime of that game that mccarthy said "if his name was not brett favre I would sit his butt for the rest of the game."

....this is uncharted waters for gbay; they've always been the underdog. (since rodgers and the young core group of players right now came along).....how will they deal with being heavy favorites AND getting a week's rest? As we painfully found out in 2007..........it's not all it's cracked up to be. This game will be close: REAL CLOSE. And yes, I can see the gspots winning:bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

I'm holding off on prediction of GB vs NY until later in the week. I think if weather conditions in GB consist of high winds then I give the edge to NY.

One thing about being a big passing team those passes start being effected when faced with poor conditions and a team who can run the ball as NY has done as of late in my view will have a big edge.

1) The Giants.

2) Eli played that day. Pretty sure it had something to do with Eli Manning. The Packers aren't unbeatable.

Even if the Giants do beat Green Bay, I'm guessing that the NFC Championship would involve them playing the Saints in New Orleans.

I don't see them doing that. The Saints in that building? No way.

I believe if Rodgers was QBing 07 then Giants lose.

Lets see this weekend.

If the Giants win SB then it truly tells a tale of how the NFL has changed and is parity garbage.

Giants lose 5 of their last 8 and then go on to win SB - Its digusting!

I really hope Saints win it. If not for Seattle debacle last year maybe THEY repeat.

I will honestly be extremely surprised if they get passed the Greenbay Packers.

I don't expect them to.

And if they do they'd likely be going to New Orleans the next weekend and I've already seen exactly how well they match up with the Saints so the chances of them making the Superbowl is not very good at all.

I have this nagging feeling of doom. No matter how much I keep telling myself the Pack will smoke those clowns, something in the back of my head keeps reminding me that the Giants ARE a good team when they have it together. GB, despite all of the pinball numbers is not unbeatable.

I fully expect the Pack to take out the Giants.

Of the 12 teams in the playoffs, 6 are completely unacceptable SB winners to me:

Pittsburgh: obvious reasons. So glad they're gone.
Giants.
San Francisco: can't let them get to 6 before us.
Green Bay: don't want them to tie us at 5.
New England: enough already.
Denver: Forget Tebow (I don't hate him, but I can't stand the hype that credits him for everything the Broncos do). An 8-8 team should never win the SB.

Do they reseed or would the Gnats get to play New Orleans at home (assuming they both somehow advance)?

I think the home team would win the game almost for sure.

BTW, I think Baltimore can beat any of these teams at home. They're too inconsistant, but that's who I'd like to win it.
