Apparently Ike didn't think much of his performance, so he did a bit of redecorating of "his" locker in the Denver visiting team's locker room.

Eh, im not sure its an issue of class. If it were at home in his own building im sure he would have done the same thing. Some guys are just super competitive and absolutely hate losing, especially when they let up the big play that loses the game. I understand how much he was probably beating himself up, and probably wasn't thinking very clearly. Sometimes you just go overboard in your competitive spirit and in the moment, i've wanted to destroy things and put my fist through a wall before. Im sure he calmed down afterwards, and im not trying to say what he did was right or justified.. just saying i think i can understand what he was going through at the time.

Nothing classless about that.

This part of the article tells it all.

It was out of character for Tebow as well as the Steelers' defense. The NFL's No. 1 pass defense had given up six completions of 30 yards or more in 16 games. Tebow connected on five of them in one game against Pittsburgh.

They clearly gave Tebow no respect even after he 4 previous big throws on them. Fox and company came up with a great attack strategy that worked.

Curious because i was at work and didn't get to watch the game, but did Quinn play at all?

The big story before the game was how they had all these 3rd down packages put in place for Quinn and how Quinn had gotten more first team reps this week and Quinn this and Quinn that.. lol.

It's not so much classless as it is stupid.

I don't care how competitive someone is.

If you lose at a blackjack game do you tear up the casino ?

I don't think that's quite a fair comparison, but no, certainly not.

I don't recall seeing him except on the sidelines. haha.

He certainly was not an important part of the game if I did miss a play or two.

Haha, i figured he wouldn't play much. Certainly was alot of coverage about those mystery "Quinn packages" that the Broncos had supposedly been working on all week. Silly media.. tricks are for kids!

I don't think that's quite a fair comparison, but no, certainly not.

I have a very competitive personality.
I don't break stuff when I lose or lost.

But especially not in someone elses house. That is borderline crazy and certainly disrespectful. He should be mad at himself and find something that works for him to release that anger... aside from destroying others property or getting into trouble.

I laugh at my father-in-law for breaking keyboards, mice, and headphones because of his online gaming. I tell my wife he just needs to realize he obviously sucks at the game. :laugh2:

Again, while i agree with your intended point, i don't think its quite a fair comparison. Online gaming, or gambling at the local casino, etc.. arn't the same as playing a sport for a living. This is something you are passionate about, something you train all year, every year for.. you pump your blood, sweat, and tears all year into your season, in the hopes of being the best. When you know you have it in you to do more than you accomplish, its really a sickening and enraging feeling, especially if you end up being the goat that cost your team a chance to move on. (And even if we all can see there were multiple things that cost Pitt this game, that's still how Ike Taylor feels right now.)

On the other hand, that story about your father in law and his online gaming could make for some real comedy. Ever thought about filming his sessions and putting it on the web? I bet you could be the next youtube star, i know i'd watch haha.

Competition is competition.

Competitive spirit exists in many peoples lives. Not solely athletes.

I played pretty much every sport, and still the loss does not force me to break stuff, that just means I have to replace it. I would take a shower and vent to myself. Then vent with family and friends. I guess I was never in a situation where the pressure was to that level as far as worldwide entertainment.

People beat themselves up everyday, everywhere about mistakes they have made. Part of it for me is that I try to live my life without regrets, I make mistakes just like everyone, learn from them and move on.

I respectfully disagree. Not all competition is the same.

When i was in high school and baseball was my life, and my school was very good at it, and we played in the state tourny every year.. the emotion and adrenaline i had running through me when i was on the mound, knowing how hard i worked each and every day to get there.. was not at all the same feeling i have when im playing video games online or gambling at a casino.

Sure its all competition, but its just not the same, imo.

So you don't take those baking competitions seriously ? Perhaps at least the Spelling Bee ?

I know what you mean, but other people feel the same passion and invest their time, blood, sweat, and tears into those type of competitions.

Like I said before, I played sports and I understand how much it stings when you lose. Just not to that level.

Ike is not more passionate than that guy/gal on American Idol trying to finally make it. Neither wants to lose, and it hurts the same when they do in front of the world.

No problem with it.

Just like I have no problem with baseball players who get pissed and beat the hell out of the water jug.

Some guys just get pissed. As long as it isn't an everyday thing, what's the big deal?

His season just ended. I don't know what anyone would expect of the guy.

Who's investing "blood, sweat, and tears" into a baking competition or a spelling bee? Come on now, lol.

Also, do you see how crazy some of those people on American Idol get when they are told they arn't good enough? haha

I don't think this is an issue of class. It's a bit of an over reaction to a loss but I do understand with the competitive nature of things that it's just how those things go.

He threw a hissy fit and ripped the frame off the front of a locker and some y'all are defending the guy? What a baby and a sore loser! I hope the Broncos send him a bill to rebuild the locker. :laugh2:

It's called Roid Rage. He plays for the Stealers. I wouldn't doubt that they supply all of their players with steroids.

I was wondering the same thing! :laugh2: If he ripped the wooden frame off the front of a locker at Cowboys Stadium, I would want him to pay to replace the locker! That is ridiculous.

Defending him?

It's not like he knocked out a concession worker and pissed in his face.

He broke a little wooden item.

So you tore up visiting locker rooms when you lost? I would guess your team didn't win state every year,so you must have been quite upset. No?

As opposed to Cowboy players, who are only supplied with weed and cocaine.
