if you haven't heard of this comedian now you have.

he is only 19 and up there with the best of them imo. if you don't like a little dark humor he isn't for you. if you don't like a white guy doing racial humor he isn't for you. if you don't know that van gogh cut off his ear, or that the lion king follows closely to the story of hamlet, or basically didn't pay attention in highschool you probably won't get (some/a lot of) his jokes.

also parts of his routine are either rapped or done through poetry so if you can't follow quick cultural references it may not make sense.

and for you rap fans he is a better lyricist than 95% of the rappers out there and has great timing

just a sample, i don't think it violates forum rules lol

Burnham is a funny dude. He will be hard for people to keep up with if they don't have a lot of pop culture knowledge, or aren't that quick, but he's funny. I saw a youtube video of him back before he did the words, words, words, special and it cracked me up.

After watching the special, I'd definitely say he's something of a one trick pony because the songs are really the only thing that cracked me up. His jokes in general weren't amazing, but he's still very young.

Jeselnik is definitely a great joke writer, though for me, Louis C.K. is the greatest alive. If Mitch Hedberg was still around, he'd still be my favorite, because I don't think anybody has ever made me laugh harder. I do also love Steven Wright, Hedberg's main inspiration.

yeah that is kinda what i was saying in my OP

i actually like his non song jokes just as much, they have a dry wit to them i like but i agree he should only get better cause he is young.

So, I take it Ellen DeGeneres had sex with Topher Grace, and this is the result?

I didn't like this one at all.

He has a lot funnier songs.

First time i've heard of this kid. I went on youtube and watched a few more clips. To me he is more clever than funny.
