View Full Version : Todd Bowles, the first name that surfaces for Raiders coaching opening
The first name has surfaced from Reggie McKenzie’s list of potential candidates to lead the Oakland Raiders…
Todd Bowles, who was the interim coach for the Miami Dolphins and led them to a 2-1 record after Tony Sparano’s firing, will reportedly get a chance to interview for the Silver & Black’s opening.
Bowles has been a secondary coach his entire career and not likely in Miami’s plans for the future unless they cannot land one of the bigger names out there to lead their organization.
The Eagles sought permission to speak to Bowles at the end of the season for a place on their staff.

I've gotta be honest there is very little chance I'd ever want to take the Raiders HC job.
Yes it's the dream if you're a coach in the NFL to be an HC but why bother being an HC in what has been one of the crappiest of situations to work in?
I think if I was potential HC canidate at this point I'd wait on Raiders stuff until you had a couple of years to see how the franchise was going to be run now that Al Davis is gone.

Yeah...I think it might be different with Al gone so some might take a chance, esp with what seems to be a good GM hire.
However I recently read an article about the new Owner (Al's son) and he was referred to as Tommy Boy so it might get even worse.
