Obviously this team has plenty of decisions to make regarding the player personnel and key starters on both sides of the ball.

One of those spots is at strong safety where Abram Elam will once again become a free agent this March – that’s assuming the Cowboys don’t offer him a long-term contract before then.

While that scenario seems rather unlikely, you do have to wonder if things will change at all now that his position coach in Cleveland - Jerome Henderson – is back in the mix again and expected to take over as the Cowboys’ new secondary coach....

Should be good.

If Cowboys are going to sign a vet for a safety spot, then they would be better off signing a true FS and moving Sensabaugh back to his more natural SS spot.

Sensabaugh is better in man to man than Elam, and is also a better blitzer. Elam is a better tackler, but not by a whole lot.

Cowboys should sign Zbikowski from the Ravens. He is younger & familiar with a multiple/hybrid defensive scheme like the Cowboys' play, plus he is a better playmaker than either Elam or Sensabaugh at center field.

Isn't he a SS too?
