It's a good move for him as it's his quickest route back to getting a HC role. He'll get carte blance over the defense, and they have a lot of talent on the DL to run his scheme.

Darn, for a second I thought you meant Mickey Spagnola.
If that were the case, it would have been a long celebration picture/animation thread.

I agree, though I hope the Eagles defense the last month of the season was a mirage.

I doubt they have alot of talent on defense. There's no reason for them to be as bad as they were defensively at the beginning of the season.

Wow, wasn't expecting that one. I was hoping he'd go somewhere in the AFC.

At least it wasn't the Eagles, I guess. :o:
Still, a little jealous of them. They have great coaching on both sides of the ball.

with Spags and Rams lose with Williams. Interesting story I heard on the radio this AM: Payton called Harbaugh before a preseason game to work out a 'gentlemen's agreement' on the game. (no blitzing, biting, kicking, etc....) and Harbaugh didn't call him back: so Payton told WIlliams to release the hounds and they pounded Smith and the Niners that game.....then in the playoff game, the niners outschemed him as he ran many of the same sets he did in the preseason game! Especially with Vernon Davis: WIlliams didn't think Smith and/or Davis could beat him, but of course they did. WIlliams is arrogant and overrated IMO.......Saints: +1.....Rams: -1:)
