This was most shocking part of interview with Jerry as far as I am concerned. Your 1st round draft pick two years ago was detained by police and the HC and Owner haven't reached out with atleast a phone call? Why do I get the sense that Cowboys organization is going to move on from Dez and now its just a matter of when and to whom. Here is Jerry direct quote:

"Not only did head coach Jason Garrett admit he hasn't spoken to Dez Bryant since his latest off-the-field incident that had him momentarily detained by Miami police after an altercation at a club, Jones also said he has yet to speak with his young wide receiver. "I haven't talked to him about it, "Jones said. "I don't know details of it from his perspective. But I'm aware of it."

He's just a young guy who had a tough up bringing, that's all.

It would be a huge mistake to blame himself for anything he does.

and? they don't do it your way so they do it wrong?

admit or just say "it's not that big a deal"

i'm still much more torqued that the media can post LIES in a headline and people like you suck it up like milk at jr high lunch.

you can get mad at the person being lied about and praise the liar. nice what we're becoming.

What is there to say? If you're high school teacher scolded you for some crap you did over the weekend, you'd be annoyed right?

There's no reason to reach out. I'm sure Dez no he did something wrong, making it a bigger deal does nothing for him.

True. But he gets paid for what he does on the field. When his off-field stuff begins to effect his performance fine, the coach has the right to step in. But quite frankly, I don't think it has. Maybe he's spent too much time in the clubs and too little studying his playbook, but he's still one of the most dangerous WRs in the game. Unless that changes, or he ends up suspended or in jail, I don't think there's really much that Jerry or JG can say.

I think the idea is to try and help the kid before it gets to that point.

By the time it effects his ability to play, it's too late.

I don't find this surprising. Until we hear otherwise, the incident wasn't apparently all that much of a big deal.

there have been no charges of any kind brought against dez. There is nothing offical that the nfl is going to do to him. To be honest if dez played for anyone but the cowboys no one would hear about this. The media really misses T O being in dallas , so they will make Dez out to be him anyway they can. What can they say that they have not said already...manage ur money better....stop hanging out with losers... Im not saying dez wasnt stupid but there is only so much you can say to a grown man.

Jerry put 24/7 survelleince around PacMan, did that stop him from getting in trouble? You can't babysit grownups. He's a soon to be 24 year old grown man. Other people by his age have done full tours of service in war zones. Calvin Hill and his department are there to help him if/when he wants it, but it's time to stop treating him like a 12 year old. He's been coddled since Day 1 here, and apparently it he's racking up tardy fines like there's no tomorrow.
