looks like it is down to mizzou and arky, UT and OU are out and the lean is mizzou because arky offered another WR today but we will find out for sure tomorrow around 9 am

for those that don't know about this kid you will soon enough, he is 6'6" 220 and runs in the 4.4 range

from what I understand it is between Texas and Mizzou, but Mizzou gets the edge cause of his girlfriend. Apparently, he wants to be close to her. I don't blame him. Plus, the QB situation at Texas right now is putrid. If we had another Colt McCoy, DGB would be a Horn for sure.

According to Green-Beckham's Dad, rumors surrounding and decisions on recruitment are untrue.

There are rumors all over the board on DGB's plans. I read today that Alabama is his choice.

At this point, I don't think anybody knows and DGB has not said one thing according to the family.

Breaking: According to two sources with knowledge of the recruitment, DGB has told the UT staff that he will not be a Longhorn.

Recruiting Nation ESPN news:

Lastly will be tomorrow's inevitable news of the nation's top receiver, Dorial Green-Beckham, donning the cap of either Arkansas or Missouri, and not Texas, during his live announcement at 9:15 a.m. CT on ESPNU.

From the Cigar on DGB

First off, it sounds like hints and tone are starting to change the coaching staff's thinking about DGB, and now they feel pretty confident they aren't going to get the five star wideout. The family hasn't notified the staff definitively one way or the other, but the way they've answered certain questions along with certain questions they've asked the staff indicates Texas won't finish first in this thing come tomorrow morning. If we had to call it now we'd say about 20% Texas at this point. Or let's put it this way, the Cigar says the staff would be very surprised if the Horns get DGB's signature. Our staff still thinks it's Missouri.

Other updates on DGB

Supposedly OU was called and told they were out. Their sources believe he will pick Mizzou.

Arkansas told Javon Williams WR his offer is committable - which most thought was a backup if they lost out on DGB. So looking like they may be out.

He's going to Missouri, and I have my doubts about him. For the #1 rated player in the country he played against some AWFUL HS competition. He played in a district that, as of right now, will send five players TOTAL to FBS schools. For reference, every single 3, 4 and 5A district in Texas will send at least double that.

Watch his high school film, he's playing against a bunch of 5'9" slow white guys. He is literally the biggest player at any position in every game. It looks like Calvin Johnson playing against a JV squad. He may in fact be just that good, but half the WR recruits in 5A Texas ball could do what he did against that level of talent.

he was killing it at the all american game practices all week and and then had the longest play ever during the game and won player of the game

for reference here are the previous mvps from that game

January 5, 2002 Vince Young
January 5, 2003 Chris Leak
January 3, 2004 Ted Ginn, Jr.
January 15, 2005 DeSean Jackson
January 7, 2006 Chris Wells
January 6, 2007 Chris Galippo
January 5, 2008 Terrelle Pryor
January 3, 2009 Co-MVPs Bryce Brown and Tajh Boyd
January 9, 2010 Ronald Powell
January 8, 2011 Demetrius Hart

pretty good list as far as college success and somewhat for spot drafted

Like I said, he may just be that good but I have my doubts about him being the next superhuman receiver he's being portrayed as.

even if he isn't the next megatron his physical gifts are too good to not be useful in the league as long as he puts the work in, which he seems to have his head on straight so it shouldn't be a problem. I mean look, even if he doesn't put the work in, as long as he doesn't get caught up in drugs ala mike williams/matt jones, he should at least be as good as roy williams11

He's really good, but the hype has gotten out of control. He's got elite talent, all-american talent, but he's NOT Randy Moss.

I saw that. This recruitment has been all over the board. He may not be finished just yet. I do understand why he made this decision and I respect him for it but I think he may find himself second guessing this choice. JMO

I'm excited about it, makes up for losing Bralon Addison. A&M is set up nicely on offense for the future with Williams, Davis, Johnson and Edward Pope.
