lol, I thought it was great.
The only reason I got such a laugh out of it is because the censor button guy "missed it by that much", I could just imagine him jumping out of his chair to hit the button just a half second too late.

Didn't bother me one bit. Hell I didn't even notice it and I saw the blur and I thought...wow the censor must have missed something, but I dont' know what. Don't really care about bit, its part of her song....oh well.

Yeah, I laughed at it too. Right after the "bird" the screen became blurred for about a second or two.
But, it was said that during all the rehearsals nobody ever saw her do that, but during the game, she flipped it off!

Word is that MIA signed the contract stating that they would be responsible for any sort of shennanigans that transpired from their specific performances, including any fines from it.
I haven't seen verbatum words yet, but thats whats in the air atm.
NBC w/ its hooks got off the last NipGate fine from JJ's performance but it appears this time might be a bit different.
If true and they get smacked w/ a hefty fine, at least MIA would be on the hook.
Hope it was worth it. Not like MIA is anything anymore.
1 shot wonders usually reach reach reach...but never get off the ground after that 1st single.
Kinda funny the probable outcome.

She's still pretty popular with the crowd that's actually into her music, the only song of hers that ever become a mega hit was Paper Planes, which was already a hit but really blew up because of Slum Dog Millionaire.
For the people that actually like her and know her music, her flipping the bird is not at all surprising. That's her.

Umm no shes not. Shes popular in Britain maybe but here in the states the sales comparison at least is NOT what you wish to imply.
And don't think I don't appreciate her music, I do. But the band isn't near as popular as they once were, which was my entire point.

Yep that was good! I loved when he rolled out the keg for the big group.
Also like the Doritos dog commercial where he bribed his owner to not say anything about him burying the cat "You didn't see nuthin" lol.
And the Fiat commercial where the guy has a hot model seducing him and you think they are about to kiss and then it turns out to just be the car.
And finally the new Acura commercial with Jerry Seinfeld was pretty good.

Maybe the NFL should just can the nonsense and let the game be a game. 15 minute break and back to it. I'm not a prude, but I like to keep my football and my imbecile observation separate.
Between commercials after every on-field fart and this ****, football is fast becoming something to avoid.

They should bring in the best local HS marching bands and donate whatever they were going to pay for the show to the schools.

I actually like a lot of Madonna's earlier stuff. Her performance last night was very stiff... in the tradition of a 53 year old trying to look 23... I was disappointed...

Too many thin skinned people in this country. Being an American used to carry weight and had a fear factor about it. Now people go to a foreign country and say that theyre Americans, theyre laughed at.
This country has become a fat woman laying on the couch wearing a mu-mu and eating bonbons.
But I digress and get off my soapbox now, this is a football forum after all.

What do you think I mean she is still popular to her crowd? She's a UK artist that hasn't dropped an album in 2 years while she was having a kid, you are measuring her popularity off current album sales of a CD dropped in 2010? Also, there is no band. She's a solo artist.

If I can't watch a football game live, there's like no reason to watch it...I can't get into cheering or hollering at all if a game isn't live, that's awful. HOW CAN YOUR CHEERS EFFECT THE OUTCOME IF IT'S NOT LIVE!?
As for the Halftime show. It was the best since JJ's Nipple, and has nothing to do with the OP event. I thought Madonna seemed stiff, and a bit too old for the type of performance she was giving, but overall It seemed like an oldschool halftime show. The best part about them used to be the fact that there were Multiple artists with a mix of genres. That really hasn't happened since the JJ event.
And as for the actual bird flipping that happened. I just can't be bothered to care and I don't understand why anyone else does either. Words are words and stuff like this is just that. It's not important and would be a non issue if so much emphasis wasn't put on crap like this.

I loved the half time show. Been a fan of Madonna's music for near 30 years now. She is one heck of a performer. As for her being 53, I would consider myself lucky if I was half as in shape and gorgeous as she is when I get to that age--which isn't very far for me now.:( Maybe that's why I can appreciate her so much more than the younger crowd. She works very hard, hours every day, to maintain her level of performance and looks. There just aren't very many 53 year olds who can do flips and move like that. Heck, I'm 42 and if I tried some of those moves, I'd be in a cast. lol. And not too many that look that good in tiny outfits. lol. Give the woman some credit.
As for BirdGate, I guess I missed it. I was out of my chair, though, singing and "mildly" dancing along.:) Don't know who MIA is anyway, so whatever. Cee Lo outshined the other guests anyways. Except for the dude on the rope. He was awesome.
