Played only 16 games 1 season and is 28 but for me he is the ideal solution to work behind and challenge Free. He beats him out fine, if not we got a hell of a swing tackle and insurance policy. Knowing his situation I also bet he is one of those FA's that is considered a "value"

What happened to him? I thought he was one of the better LTs in the league and didn't he just sign a monster contract not that long ago?

Basically injuries have wrote the story on his career which is why I believe he will be delegated to backup long term although if he can stay healthy he is one of the best in the game. He will be given the chance to earn a spot some where. If he can hold onto it is another thing. He will never see a contract like his last one.

Damaged goods at this point and seeing as how his back and neck have given him fits, his prognosis isn't great.

Interesting Richard Seymour bit on there. Gotta admit even at 32 I would be interested in a friendly deal.

As would I.
Seymour
Ratliff/Brent
Rat/Hatcher
Rotate in Spears, Lissemore and Geathers. Maybe a rookie NT.
Pretty good IMO.

BTW, I agree with SDogo. I would seriously look into McNeill.
Not Seymour though. I don't want to pay age.

I remember his back injury scared a couple teams, I think including us too, from picking him.
Short term deal is the most I' would like to see offered to MM

we stayed away from him for injury and health concerns and we were right. No reason to get him now.

The book on McNeil has always been an issue with his neck. Coming out in 2006, he was right there with DBrick but the questions around his neck issues forced him down and eventually made him a late 2nd round pick.

Neck and back issues have kept him from being the dominate force year in and year out he could have been.
If he wants to come here to provide quality depth that would be great. I'm guessing he'll want to go somewhere that there is a great shot of starting and staying the starter as long as he's healthy.
So we know SD picks either Mike Adams or Jonathan Martin at 18.

Seymour is not going anywhere. Tommy Kelly maybe, but not Seymour.
