I heard about this. It's my understanding he broke both legs, but had he been a few inches lower,it would have killed him. Crazy!

You play with fire, you are bound to get burned.
Still....the "grinding the crack" video of his is still the most amazing video I've ever seen.

Considering the outcome in the video, no matter where you put it on the list it'll still be the last item.

No doubt. But that one "Grinding the Crack" is inspiring. Man, what a cool video.

They put him back together. Who wants to make a wager he does a similar flight again? I'd say he may even go after the same spot he waxed. That's just how those personality types are.

I read in an article yesterday that the people whoever are in charge of such things at Table Mountain considered filing charges for jumping from that spot and most likely won't allow a repeat.

Ah, I guess they were thinking the same thing. Still, you shouldn't tell people where they can jump from as long as it doesn't hurt anyone but himself....

They probably don't want to be bothered with the eventual clean up.

Some lawyer could say that if you don't tell him he can't jump that you are liable. I know it doesn't make sense, but we all know it is possible.

It was once known as a death wish.

Watch the 'grinding the crack' video, he has smooth landing on that. I think I read he hit speeds of up to 300 mph, but that seems a bit extreme.
