someone got lost in the combine and forgot about the football season these guys just played.

Once you and other bounce back form the combine hangover, these guys will start to settle back down to where they were before the draft.

Every year there are players that fly up boards due to the combine performance. Then with in the 2 months until the draft these same players start to fall back to where they were before the draft. Teams go back to game tape and see if they stand out there.

Don't get lost in the combine numbers. I like both players but right now both are higher than they deserve.

I actually like Poe but lack of production in college is worrying, that kind of athletes find ways to make plays.

Harrison Smith was a stud last year and played great. His combine equaled his prduction on the field. As for Poe, I just dont know if he is a work out warrior or a football player.

Poe is an interesting comparison to Ngata. They are physically very similar and in the 12 games of their final college seasons, neither put up impressive numbers.

Ngata: 61 tackles, 9 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 FF
Poe: 33 tackles, 8 TFL, 1 sack, 1 FF

Ngata played in the Pac 10, Poe in Conference USA.

Ngata was selected 12th overall. It won't surprise me if someone rolls the dice on Poe before that.

61 tackles to Poe's 31 tackles is a big difference. Especially when you have to compare the pac 10 vs confrence USA.

I love how I said a couple weeks ago that players fly up draft boards after the combine and wanted proof. Well, here it is.

Oh, I agree.

Anybody remember the 500-lb guy who could do back flips and jump out of a swimming pool flat-footed?
